Theres some neat things on this site.

But by far this http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars...-nx-1701-a.php is probably the most interesting.

Yep Cygnus-x1 is a great site. I've visited there many times.

Ah that ship. I remember her more as the Solaris class cruiser from Jackal's Ships of the Fleet books. Jackal (Eric Kristiansen) did some very nice CAD work including that ship design.

Actually Jackal was probably one of the first fans to really get in to using a computer to design their starships in a big way.
My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug.

I have hi-res copies of some of the blueprints Cygnus has available - I enjoy browsing through them every once in a while.

Not to be rude, but that Solaris design looks like a jumble of poop with Excelsior parts attached.

Its an odd ball for sure, but oddly I kinda like it. But those pylons have to go.

I like it. though I think the nec's are looking a little long in the tooth. Something about rounded or smoothed edges gives vessels a more aerodynamic and streamline look. But it's not how a vessel looks it's how it performs that makes all the difference.

it's an interesting ship, though seems weird that the big saucer and nacelles with tiny secondary hull....
