I could see these as T5 "Command ships" since with the admiral system i heard they were thinking about having some of your other ships become space BOFF's basically, NPC ships that will help you out like your BOFF's do on the ground.

Would be cool though, having carriers, escorts sci ships and cruisers all active at the same time, or even your lockbox ships, since its hard to show off your collection of ships when many of them are stuck in drydock until you pull them out.
