It's hard to say.

Klingons are like all the other STO bad guys and that means they basically cheat as NPCs.

Rather than face a "weak" Federation foe, they skulk around and Battle Cloak their "Bird's of Runaway" (like a little girl) at the first sign of damage.

The mighty N'eg Var might as well be called "Crafty Old Woman" as it launches waves of boarding shuttles to short circuit your systems less it has to face an Escort fairly in Battle.

Don't even get me started on the Raptor Weasels with all their Science Cheats.

To be fair, the imposingly huge Hirogen are sad enough to use PERSONAL cloaks so cowardly are they. They even cloak their grenades LOL.

Historically it was the Romulans that were supposed to be the skulking cowards, I wonder what happened to make the Klingons copy them? Next gen?

I realize it's an easy game mechanic, but it makes these enemy races sad.

Klingons are pretty tough. Worf and Martok got beat up all day erry day by JemHadar while in prison, and even Punching-Bag Worf was able to beat all of them except the boss - and the JemHadar are supposed to be the ultimate warriors, genetically designed for combat, and all that.

However, Klingons are weak to stabbing. Just poke them a little and they die. Look at what happens to Gowron, the Albino's lackies, or just some random guards. That's why Klingons still carry knives and swords. (It has to be stabbing, though; slicing doesn't work.)

If they did, the second rite wouldn't really be much of a test would it? They'd look forward to it. Worf was not saying "Ahhh...." like he just got into a warm jacuzzi, or into an air conditioned room when it's 110 degrees outside, he was screaming.

It's a matter of degree. Painsticks were designed to be something so excruciating that even the toughest warriors would scream.

I don't know about the Race as a whole, since you see in DS9 them getting stabbed once and die....but I know this Klingon who takes a beating and keeps on ticking

I forgot just how many times Worf got his A** handed to him. Any one that gets beat on like that and keeps coming back for more is considered tough in my book.

Well, you could only take so much pain before you pass out, there's a limit. And, I'm wondering maybe if it isn't pain exactly, it's just the intensity of the sensation.

I remember once we cooked Sukiyaki in high school, and it smelled SOOO good to me, perhaps TOO good, cause after smelling it for 10 minutes I started to get nauseous.

O'BRIEN
"Those are Klingon painstiks. I once saw one of them used against a two-ton Rectyne monopod. Poor creature jumped five meters at the slightest touch. Finally died from excessive cephalic pressures --"

GEORDI
"(wincing at that) You don't mean... ?"

O'BRIEN
"(nodding affirmatively) That's right. The animal's head exploded just like --"

PULASKI
"I think that's enough, Chief O'Brien."

I think there's more involved than pain.
