While you are at it Cryptic, how about not making that Final Fight one massive Zerg rush of Romulans and Hirogen.

Not to mention silencing the surround voice overs when the shuttle playback is in session.
Almost positive that the last zerg rush of mobs is not supposed to happen (this hit me while in the shower today LOL). If you notice, the cut scene really brings in the hirogen to the Story and I think the Hirogen Alpha's are supposed to spawn after the cut scene with the Named mob. However you get the whole lot when you get to the top of the hill and I think that it screws up the progression of the mission which makes it impossible to complete as well as making the final battle a complete zerg...

As I posted in the other thread, I think it's this stupid Thalaron Drone. I have done the mission twice (managed to only die once on the second run, lol). Both times, a drone was the only Romulan left standing, unkillable. I'm guessing it turned "friendly" when I respawned after dying.

Listen. Cryptic. Buddy. I know you're trying your best. But the QA is a bit lacking.

By the way, during the last battle- hold your boffs back around the bend, then draw the first group of hunters to them. Then you'll only have the Alpha and Ruul to deal with. Focus-attack your boffs on Ruul while you kite the Alpha, destroy his holoemitters, and any Thalaron drones you see. That's what worked best for me.

I've also got an alt stuck with this bug, unable to complete the mission. I've tried dropping the mission/restarting, logging out/in, and using melee in the final fight as was suggested earlier, but so far nothing has worked.

I've swept back and forth on the map after all the fighting is over and there's been no sign of any drones or anything else that is incorrectly mislabeled as friendly, so it's not that which is causing the issue for me.

My main finished first time, and I'm hoping my other alts are also as fortunate. For now, I'm giving up on the mission on this alt until I hear that there's a bug fix or some other solution.

Edit: Make that 2 alts that are stuck on subduing the Tal Shiar

This mission is a good example of why ground combat still sucks in STO.

Out of five toons, only my main, the first toon that I ran the mission on, has been successful, the other four have all got stuck on the Subdue Tal Shiar Agents requirement.

On one alt I tried 10-11 times, trying every suggestion I've seen (ie. making sure drones killed before their owner, using melee, killing all enemies before completing other tasks, keeping the final fight in the end 'room' and not luring them around the corner, killing the Alpha before the Romulan commander, killing the commander before the Alpha, etc). Apart from now having earned over 30 New Romulus Research chips on that alt in the process, the result has been failure.

EDIT: And another bug I just got on my last alt. I went into the mission with my liberated Borg boff as my captain's companion, but when I left the instance I had my android boff instead. Not an issue for me since the alt is now leaving New Romulus anyway, but still odd.

The Mission sub-objective "Subdue Tal Shiar Agents" cannot be completed if the first wave of Romulan agents are defeated in the canyon before the player has moved far enough forward to complete the objective "Investigate Mountain Pass", and trigger the parent objective "Disrupt Tal Shiar Operations".


(Possible?) Workaround: Don't kill any Tal Shiar agents until you move into the first area and get the objective "Disrupt Tal Shiar Operations" which has the sub-objective "Subdue Tal Shiar Agents."

Let me know if this works as I've only had two tries to confirm this.

Edit: The workaround has worked for me 4 times now. It looks like the first wave doesn't get counted if you defeat them before the objective pops up.

That works for me too, just put your toons (team) on passive mode, leave the first group of romulans untouched and rush to the first camp, attack an npc there, switch your team back to normal and there you go.
