Can anyone recommend some good Foundry missions for me?
I'm looking for some good stories, problem is its kind of hard to find them with the foundry's built in search. Seems like most of the stuff that comes up first just are there to earn dilithium. Spotlight is nice, but they can only spotlight so many missions.
There are way too many good story missions to list them all, but here are a few I've played recently:
- Finding Resolution (and Avenging Resolution) by ajstoner
- City of the Polmar Ree by alimac30
- A Will and a Barclay by XR-377
- The Longing by RachelGarrett
- The Far Wanderer by ajstoner
- The Mayns of Balnar Moon by alimac30
Try the series of missions by Captain Revo. One of them is called 'Worst of all worlds' or something similar. You'll be able to find the rest from there, but they have a great story.
If you are the reviewing type, I have my first foundry misison up. It's fairly simple, but it is a story mission, designed to tell the player part of my main STO character's background.
That one is called 'The Empty Shell Shuttle Incident', and I would appreciate any reviews, good or bad.
The ice Cube is a 4 parter which apparently can be done at any level and although I have only done 1 and 2 seems pretty good so far.
Nice mix of story and action.

I've played a few Foundry missions, even some the suggested ones, but was not really all that satisfied with many of them. I've found a few to be "Wow!" and many to be "Meh".
There is one exception that continues to stand out for me. I loved exploring Nagorak's episodes (Atlas Affair, etc) . I took time to read everything I could, and it was worth it if you enjoy those kind of missions. There are interesting puzzles, opportunities to eavesdrop and gossip and make tough choices in his missions. The missions are dialogue heavy, but I felt really connected with the story and some characters. Honestly, it was like being in a episode.
I wish they had a in-game doff of the holographic social one from the game (a unique reward would be great), I though he was hilarious. I'd even consider buying it/him.
The pew pew is there, but limited.
Oh, bring a pen and paper and keep your records if you play the series.

I personally recommend the "Starfleet Odyssey" series by dariuskronikov. There are some 40 Episodes in the series and they build really nicely on each other, but each one also stands alone to a certain extent. They have just enough story to make them a lot more than point and shoot missions, but also have plenty of action. Combat is well balanced between ground and space. Each mission has a number attached to the title making it easy to play them in order!
