And solong as i go for the MACO shields and borg engines/deflector im heading in the right direction? DHC's obviously Fleet weapons are good, anything else i should consider?

And for my topr, i have heard that the romulan torp and omega torps are both worthwhile replacements, is this true? I will evetually get them both to test but would like to know of people experiences with them so far. Bearing in mind i only PvE so the destructible projectiles doesnt really affect much since the borg dont swap out targets
Keep working towards the Maco Mk XII. Acquire the fleet resilient shields until then. You'll see a big difference from the paratrinic shields.

I would wait and get the fleet MVAE. It's similar enough to the advanced but you'll get to use 5 tac consoles to increase dps. Could also go for the fleet defiant.

Maybe try switching 1 of your scatter volleys to a cannon rapid fire. That way you can alternate from AOE to single target focus depending on your target/s.

Get 2 damage control doffs, that plus switching to TSS2 your shields will hold up much much better.

Feel free to PM me in game. GL

Sorry! dekseken, So you think MACO sheilds are better than the Assimulated Regenitive XII then? Are any of sheilds better than these? Because I have tried both with the official deflector they go with and engine, but always seem to go back to re-generative and bolser up my sheild strength with emiters on the science console slot. The only other thing I can only see to do is sacrafice hull plating in the engineering slots for sheild power, but I have tried this with little effect?

MACO Mk XII has 36% higher effective strength than Assimilated Mk XII, but Assimilated Mk XII has 40% higher regeneration than MACO Mk XII. Meanwhile Omega has 17% higher cap than Assimilated and Assimilated has 14% higher regen than Omega, and Adapted MACO (aka KHG) has 54% higher cap and 47% lower regen than Assimilated. Shield power boosts regen and not cap, so it has a greater affect on higher regen shields. (It also provides an additional resistance on all shields.) However, in my experience usually the innate regen is insignificant relative to my shield heals. The big advantage to the MACO is the extra 10% innate resistance, which boosts the effective benefit of all your heals (they heal the same amount but that amount is harder to take off). Ultimately it's an incredibly complicated subject, but MACO is always a very solid choice.

In my experiance you are best keeping a couple of tacticle commander boffs. One for AoE damage and one for single target. This way you can switch as needed, depending on the people you play with and the specific STF/Mission you are doing.

I was running with a single target DPS build until a few days ago, i find my damage a lot higher with Scatter than i did with Rapid fire, and better then half and half, and to be honest, i dont tend to overaggro with it, in infected for example, when taking out the nanite spheres im very good at watching my ranged from the cube and gate.

Ditch the hyper impulse engines. You shouldnt be running with your engine power high most of the time. With your engine power set to minimum your skills are still going to put your engine power levels at the optimum efficeny level of normal impulse engines.

Yeah im not far of tier 5 in both reps so they will be changing very soon haha

Your flying an escort. Why are you using quantom torpedos? Quantom are fantastic, they pack a good punch with a reasonable re-use time. But your keeping your enemy in your forward arc the whole time any way so why not use photons for better DPS?

Tbh, only reason i was using them was because i was following other edcort threads i have read, and no-one had mentioned photons, had a look through and found quite a few threads confirming what you have said, thanks! Would you say that the photons are better than the romulan and omega torps still? Im interested to try them both out

Your using two scatter volley 2s. I dont recomend this, the damage bonus from scatter volley dosnt scale up as well as many other abilities. You would probably be better off using two level 1 scatter volleys and two attack patterns insted of the one.

Thinking about this, i could always swap out a torp spread for another Attack pattern, would probably boost my overall dps

If you want to keep stacking torpedo spred you could invest in some conn duty officers that boost the recharge time on tacticle team. three blues or two purples will allow you to use just one tacticle team freeing your 2nd ensign slot for somthing else.

Reverse Shield polarity is nice when it isnt on cool down but you may find your better off with an extra emergency power to shields that you could use more often, or an emergency power to engines which you can combine with evasive for 'SUPER HYPER FASTER THEN FULL IMPULSE' speeds. This way you have a way to tempererily withdraw, and a way to engage quickly.

Yeah i see what you mean here, it is a very nice skill in the right situation, but would be better off in the long run with the 2 Shield strength buffs

Ok thats all I have for you. Honestly though your build is fine. You have all your key components, and your build may fit your flight style better then any I or others have surgested.

I do recomend you try a single target build as well as the AOE one though. Depending on how good/bad you are at staying alive you may find a single target setup results in grater DPS as you spend less time waiting to respawn due to drawing less agro. On the other hand if you handle your ship well AOE can blitz you through content a lot faster.
Thanks a lot for the advice
