# 1 PvP BoP build help
01-18-2013, 04:24 PM
so ive decided that i want to master the sweet art of the alpha strike, so i made a new KDF toon with a BoP in mind for its end game ship. i spoke to some BoP pilots i know and i started planning a build for this new character and wanted to know if i could improve it in any way

http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skil...ild=BoPbuild_0

possible weapon loadout:

fore: 3x antiproton DHC antiproton DBB
aft: 2x antiproton turrets

Omega deflector and engine (for tet glider) KHG shield

not sure on sci and eng consoles but i know tac consoles will all be mag regulators.

any experienced BoP alpha strikers out there care to give me some tips?

I think you mean to say you had 3 DHC 1 DBB up front? That can work good.

Many bop pilots use torps, and going 2DHC 1 DBB and 1 quantum up front will lead to even more spike damage. Use 2 pc honor guard with torps for the bonus. If you don't want to respec into torps then your build is fine.

Let me just say this looks pretty solid. As I mentioned when we chatted, I suggest:

Engineering: Neutronium Alloy MK XI, Assimilated Console, Zero Point Console

Science: Field Generator, 2 Flow Capacitors

Should buff up the Tetryon Glider while improving you chances for a critical hit and improving your durability, both shield and hull wise.

I am glad to see that you have taken my advice and other BOP Pilots advice to heart.

I wouldn't of used anti proton as wellas any beam weapon. You don't have any torps which the BoP is know for.Beamoverload is not needed as you should have yield torpedo instead.

I would respec if I were you in projectile weapons not just energy as the cloak is useless.

This my Fed Tac spec build although I have changed my Boff skills around since then.

GatesofStovokor.com has link to a KDF flavored version of the hilbert guide that also could help, though it is in need of updating. Its called Kookie Kutter guide

none of what you said made any sense to me lol why no DBB and how does an all energy build make cloak useless? and sorry buy a fed tac build is no good to me considering the feds dont have anything like the BoP
also whats wrong with antiproton weaponry, i figured crit would be a good thing for a tac officer in a BoP?

I got back in my Hoh'sus today with my tac and put together a new build, its doing great for pvp.
It crits all the time, especially if you hit them while tractor beamed before they break out of it, the BO3 and THY2 quantums have led to many near instant kills. Its not really optimized for pve, but the devestating alpha strike power lets it solo cubes on elite pretty fast. This build needs accurate trait and max targting systems, without that, weapons with 1 or 2 acc mods and the rest crit mods might work better.

Fore- 2x Disruptor DHC, 1x Disruptor DBB, 1x Quantum torp. (all weapons CrtHx3)
Aft- 2x Disruptor turrets

Deflector- Omega
Engines- Honor Guard
Shield- Honor Guard

Eng - 1x assimilated module, 2x neutronium
Sci- 1 tachykinetic converter, 1 zero point energy conduit, 1 field generator
tac- 4x disruptor console

Cmdr tac- TT1, CRF1, BO3, APO3
Lt tac- TT1, THY2

Lt Cmdr sci - TB1, TSS2, HE3

Lt eng- EPTS1, EPTS2
