Optimus: drake does not yet know our location nor does he know the true power of the artifact. Admiral I will not make you come with me but proxima XII is where I must go.
*Tyrus IV. The Republic and most of the 10th and 5th fleets have regrouped. Sam is meeting with Admirals Dislan (a Betan) and Danis Hague (a Human from Deis IV) in the Situation Room.*
Hague: Things are looking bleak, Captain. Without any way of communicating, our forces are scattered. Reports that we're getting from messenger ships vary. Some are saying that the Capital has suffered a coup and that the president has been removed from office, while others are reporting havoc and riots, and a few are suggesting that everything's proceeding as normal.
Sam: What about Deep Space 61?
Hague: We have more reliable intel there. The R.S.S. Jericho recently returned to our staging area after a supply run to DS61. The Station's serving as a rally point for most of our forces, but the ships on the edge of our space are still isolated. I doubt they even know what's happening.
Dislan: Do WE even know what's happening?
Sam: Drake's behind this. I'm sure of it. If we could just reach someone in the Federation...
Hague: Everyone's in the dark, from what we can tell.
Sam: Infra-System communications are still possible, right?
Hague: Yes, but it's not very clear.
Sam: I suggest we send someone to Lanco III - tell them to prepare for a Gate into Iconian Space.
Hague: Why?
Sam: They owe us one after we stopped the Synthesisers. I'll bet they can get past the jamming.
Dislan: Use their Capital Ships as Comm Relays.
Sam: Right. I'll take the Republic and go after Drake.
Hague: How will you find him?
Sam: By finding my Synthesiser counterpart.
Hague: I don't think I wanna know what you're planning Captain, so I'll let you get to work. Good luck.
*After the Admirals have returned to their ships, the Republic Fold-jumps into orbit over Lanco II.
Republic, Bridge. Sam is standing in front of the viewscreen.*
Sam: This is Captain Samantha Allington of the Republic Starship Republic to Synthesiser Populus. We would like... an audience... with your leader.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: Like this?
Sam: That was fast. *She nods to T'mar, who starts trying to track the link.*
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: You can tell T'mar not to bother. She won't find anything.
Sam: You WOULD say that.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: What makes you think I'll tell you where Drake is?
Sam: The fact that I have 3 Quantum torpedoes loaded with Trilithium Resin pointed directly at your planet.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: You really think that'll work?
Sam: You took such drastic measures to make yourselves human you forgot about fixing humanities weaknesses... like poisonous trilithium dust for example.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: You wouldn't.
Sam: Wanna bet?
Launch one torpedo, target the largest settlement.
*The Republic launches a torpedo which hits the ground in the Capital.*
That Torpedo is ready to scatter Trilithium across that whole region.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: You're bluffing!
Sam: Feel free to scan the torpedo yourself.
*After a few seconds.*
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: You don't have it in you. You're talking about committing genocide - that's not you.
Sam: You're talking to me about what is or isn't me!
You don't get the RIGHT!
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: It's true, though!
Sam: Lieutenant, stand by to detonate the torpedo!
Three!
Two!
O--!
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: Wait!
Sam: Stand by.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: We're in the Beta Turani System. There's an asteroid above Turani VII. You'll find us there.
Sam: Disarm the torpedo.
T'mar: Yes sir.
Sam: Thank you.
Sam 2 *in Sam's mind*: Go to hell.
*The Republic fold-jumps to Turani VII.*
"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a
weakness. That is life." - Captain Jean Luc Picard
He soon arrives at the now empty base that served as hamptons command center. And looks around.
Optimus : there should be more here.
He removes the artifact again gently setting it down. He then goes through combat exexrises. As he prepares and waits knowing that drake will find the artifact in ti.e.
Optimus: to all robotic life forms this is optimus prime some may say that it is not our concern to meddle in the affairs of organic life forms. I disagree. I call out to all those who receive this message to meet me at the coordinates to follow. They need our help. And we must never forget the value of life no matter what life it may be.
