The Vesta isn't 'outdated' it's outclassed. The escort, is an escort, hence the name. The Vesta is a science vessel and as such will always have a lower hull then an escort. The better shield strength and regen rate make up for that.

I wonder if they are going to scale up the Dreadnought to be 2x bigger than a Galaxy Class.

From the looks of things, the Dreadnought seems to be a slightly more tanky version of the Escort Carrier.

Why?

I realise that the Jem'Hadar probably don't place much stock in Science ships, but perhaps the Dreadnought - as a more pure carrier than the escort carrier - should be closer to the Vo'Quv, Atrox or Recluse in terms of Boff and console layouts. Otherwise the Dreadnought is a slightly tougher, slower moving Escort/Carrier hybrid, meaning it's completely obselete in comparison to the Escort.

Anyone else feel that the Dreadnought should be more of a Cruiser/Carrier hybrid?

EDIT: In any case I still want one. Grinding that sweet, sweet EC to buy one from the Ex.

Still the shields are pretty good on this escort. 1 is more than enough in most situations, especially if you have dps.

They better make it huge!!! The Valiant(defiant class) took at least 7 sec at full impluse to clear the underside of the hull.

I think the thing I am most excited about is the mirror vo'quv LOL

I've made a couple updates to the blog:

• Both Mirror escorts have a turn rate of 16
• The Mirror Vo'Quv has +5 Weapon Power and +10 Auxiliary Power

A: No. The Lobi Crystals are not tradable between players, but most of the items in the store can be traded after they are purchased. Right-click on an item from the store interface to inspect its details, which will include information on whether or not it can be traded to other players.

Can we please confirm is the MK XII Jem Hadar ground and space sets can be traded after purchase?

I'd like to clarify that these are not stat variants when compared to their existing non-Mirror counterparts. The above stat changes were made several months ago, but the associated ship tooltips were not appropriately updated - a bug which we noticed and fixed while creating these Mirror variants.

You will soon see existing Advanced Escorts and Vo'Quv Carriers reflect the above stats in their description, to match their in-game performance.

Seriously, don't spend money on this, the look of this ship won't change the fact that currently it's designed for suckers.

I mean it's really, really lame, and i know it as a fact since i've a very similar ship with a very similar boff layout: the Recluse. If you put a cmdr tac in this baby you turn one of the beasts of this game into a fat cow unable to chase spheres and probes, barely able to deal any significant DPS. Using APO III on my recluse has been one of my best experiences of STO, and the most laughable one too.
