the practical zen stuff, as stated before would be more inventory for bank and personal, DOff slots, the unlock in your bank so you can hold over ten million EC, uniforms if you so desire and a good shuttle/fighter. hell, even buy one of the special bridge officers like the Borg one!

1 char?

buy DOff Slots and Inventory Slots

don't bother with XP boosts, you will be max level long before you finished the mission content.

Uniforms are always nice to burn Zen... you want to look cool don't you?
you can always buy costume slots, these are account wide and let you save multiple uniforms and you can swap them on the fly by rightclicking on your character healthbar thingy.

if you are looking for fun ships on your way up you could buy a few of the "+1" Ships.
those come with special consoles that you can still use at Endgame

for Tier 3 i'd suggest the "Heavy Escort Refit: Thunderchild" (Akira variant), i have that Turret on all of my Ships and it scales with phaser damage, almost a must have imho.

for more i would have to know what class you are playing.

For ground a combat Horta is always a good addition for your Device Slots (if you like pet spam), but they are sold in the exchange for EC, not sure if spending Zen is the best idea here... probably not, only if you have more Zen than EC and don't care.

And the Zen you don't need you can always exchange for Dilithium, if you want proper Endgame items and Sets, be it from the Fleet Store or the Reputation Systems you certainly will want some Dilithium to reduce the grind, and with the next LockBox the Dilithium Exchange should go up a few points again.

If you want to have blue Phaser Beams and don't want to bother too much with buying items on you way up buy yourself the Constitution Class grab the Phasers, dismiss, reclaim, grab phasers, repeat then you have a nice looking set of Phaser Beams that level up with your character, only at Endgame you will want to replace them permanently because they are not the hardest hitters out there.

Not really...noticed the prices jumping up already from 89 to 92....ahead of the lockboxes which means time to get those keys. Guess that is a market correction and if you wait longer the conversion will be higher. Time to get some Zen and cash in that DIL.

Thanks for the advice all, it really helped.

Someone asked which class I was playing. I want to play this through from the perspective of a single career minded tactical officer.

While not totally possible, my goal is to keep the immersion factor as high as possible. And to me, being a "ship collector" just does not fit this goal.

As many suggested, I upgraded several slot counts, including duty officers.

Early on, when I had lots of zen and not very many suggestions, I made an impulsive buy, which in hindsight was maybe foolish. I bought the EV suit from the store.

Oberth gives: http://www.stowiki.org/Console_-_Uni...lasma_Manifold

Together they only cost 1500 Zen.
I like these suggestions and when ahead and got the Oberth and plan on buying (and using) the Thunderchield when I reach that point. I think both of these consoles will fit nicely and enhence the way I plan on playing my Chimera, when I get to that point.

So, after all these things, I am down to about 3000 zen, which maybe would be best to save.

Again, thanks all.

Lifetime members don't need to buy the EC expansion.

Actually LTS CAN'T buy the EC expansion... It's greyed out the same way ships that you already purchased are.

Glad you like my suggestions, I've tried several of the zen consoles and those are the ones I use most.

I would buy lock box keys and sell them for EC so you can get the Tuffli freighter. The Tuffli freighter lets you transwarp to all of the hromi cluster/rolar nebula type space areas, which effectively means you can transwarp all over the map. You can also switch to and from the Tuffli from every ship bridge.

Also, you get access to the exchange, mail and bank from the tuffli. Lastly, you get access to the turn in contraband missions which are a good way to get dilithium, and you get a ship bridge commidities broker that lets you get all the common commodities at the lowest prices.

In short, the Tuffli adds a huge amount of convenience to your game play.

Assuming Tuffli's are going for about 30 million ec, and keys sell for about 1.5 million ec, this will take about 2000 zen. If any of these prices are way off, you may want to consider other stuff, but the Tuffli is really awesome.

How much Dilithium is enough for "proper Endgame Items and Sets"?

I have mostly been focusing on doing missions that grant Dilithium, for now. I thought I would delay leveling focused missions/episodes for the upcoming double exp weekend. I am about half way through LC.

With what I have earned and what got converted the some old currencies, I currently have about 140k Dilithium, and about 2 mil EC.

I would get costumes, which I have bought a some already.

Big thing will help is use it on Bank and Bag space. I upgraded them both. Which helps tremendous and worth it. So now I can store more to keep me going on missions longer and more of them. Or when some missions give you tons of loot. I hate running out of space to keep stuff you gather that could be sold. The bank I use for the more interesting items. Or when I fill up the exchange and I have more stuff to throw in. And don't want to lug it around on my character until stuff gets sold.

But really increase your carry space on the character so you can carry more from your missions. You won't regret that one. As you can loose $ if you don't.

1125 zen = 10 lock box keys
7000 zen = 60 lock box keys roughly

with promotion sales and so with luck u get 70 keys.

wait a bit for dominion lock box.
1 lock box key = 1,5mil

70 lock box keys = 100+ mil ec

for that money u can get from the exchange a lockbox ship.
Temporal Destroyer, D'Kora, Jem Hadar Heavy escort carrier. u only need 65-80 mil for that, so basically u might save some zen, ec or dilithium for some special stuff just in case.

or get a vesta pack, or wait for the next pack.
andorian ships were announced, in addition to 2-3 other ships.

or you wait more and save up money, to get a jem hadar bug ship.
