the number is quite low, so low that telling people what it is would probably put them off buying them.

Bit too belligerant a comment so editing...

Can PW give people a FAIR opportunity of making a reasonable choice by publishing the odds, no matter how small the odds?

Whilst not exact odds, this should give you some idea.

I think they would have a better and less gripe from us players if Master Keys were uncommon to rare drops or purchasable with Dilithium from the D-store. They could still get Zen as people would possibly buy Zen to turn into in-game Dilithium. This would also lower the prices of them on the Exchange from the 1.5 million they currently are (lowest price I last saw).

I base this idea on the fact that the LBs are only availabe for like 50 ec to 100 ec on the Exchange and these are the ones NOT thrown out. There is also how commonly these things drop (I got like 27 Temporal Lock Boxes sitting there alone).

I say a Key should cost maybe like 300 Dilithium with a 10-pack being 2900 Dilithium? Considering most Duty Officer Missions give about 5-250 Dilithium (125-500 with Critical Success as I figured from my own interactions with it). The dailies give about 480 that I've seen, not sure about the PvEs or how much you can mine from the asteroid near DS9. Throw in that you can only refine about 8000 a day per character. Yeah, this could easily be a good way to get people not just more interested in lock boxes but also put more investment into them.

The current system right now relies on people spending a maximum of $13.00 (US Currency) to buy a pack of 10 Lock Box Keys. And if you don't have the money you have to do surveys forever and a day to get enough to buy a ten pack. At least with the above idea, people could feel like they are getting something for their money out of this game.

A: We are not providing exact numbers the prizes contained within the Dominion Lock Box. The average value for a normal Lock Box is around 175 Zen.

Why? Bit shady isn't it?
Really?

You pay 125 Zen per key and get roughly 175 Zen worth of prizes.

On average you get a 50 Zen profit, now if it was Averaging at 100 Zen per box, that would be shady.

Why would you buy a dreadnought carrier if you can't get the attack ship pet when you don't have yourself the jem'hadar attack ship ? why this restriction ???

If you are Lucky enough to possess a jem'hadar attack ship, why the hell would you buy the carrier, when you can pilot the best ship existing in sto ? ...

Not being able to buy jem'hadar attack ship pets renders this ship useless. 800 lobi for a useless ship, that's very expensive

I've just got mine and i'm very impressed with it, but I wholeheartedly agree, no way should there be the restriction on Attack Ship pets requiring you to own the Bugship before you can buy them. Feds need a carrier pet akin to the Klingon BoP pet anyway, so why not make this available to anyone with the Dreadnought/Escort carrier?.

Of course, this opens up the question of "Then what the **** is so advanced about the MU AE if it doesn't split into 3 ships?" Another Cryptic harebrain, rears it's ugly head.

Because calling a ship that you need to either spend several hundred dollars on, or scrounge up a huge pile of EC a viable alternative to a ship one can get for free is ludicrous.

Simply put, a lockbox item is not a viable way to fix a faction-related imbalance. No matter how large or small.
