Is it worth having? it looks amazing but wondered if anyone can tell me if they have it and what it like?

If you want a battlecruiser on Federation side... Buy yourself a D'kora. It is better than the Regent in, literally, almost every way. It can fit dual cannons, it has huge passive boosts to damage output, and superior agility.

Really the only reasons to get the Regent are 1.) if you absolutely cannot live without the 180-degree quantum launcher 2.) You can't get past the D'kora's visual style.

It is a stepping stone to the Fleet Assault Refit though. That, and the wide angle quantum are the reasons I got the Regent. It also looks pretty.

exchange aint cheap i can earn up to 10 mill as free to play and even then i doubt i can gt that much yet and ferengi lockbox i ain t seen on of them in weeks and even then its a mega rare drop, thats why i thought regent but it kinda looks like a flat pancake lol i wana know if the ambasdsador is worth waiting for instead of buying a ship

I can compare D'kora with other ships and say they are better too. I hate this mentality of comparing one ships' capabilities with others.

Is the Regent good? Yes. If you are an engineering captain, not only will you be surprised with its tanking, but how much dps it gives out for a cruiser. I'm not saying it's the best out there, I'm saying its good and worth your money.

Ofcourse make sure you have your skill points allocated accordingly, any ship will suck with a poor build.

well atm i been using escorts but just feel the power isnt in there, my mate has been using his sovereign with polaron beams and has been taking beatings without a problem yet wen i use my escort no matter what build i have they just drop like flies so i was thinking of having a tank ship for stfs so i thought maybe regent but i know my mate is buying the odyssey trio pack for the consoles, im tactical mainly and want a decent ship and wudnt mind knowing if the ambassador is good or not so i can maybe use that instead

Why would someone buy the Ody 3 pack just for the consoles? Only one of them is somewhat desirable (Chevron Separation), and compared to some of the other universals it can be hard to justify using it.

We have no clue about the Ambassador yet, might as well wait, by next week you will have one anyway.

I would say wait a couple of days until the Ambassador stats are released (people can start earning it in 2, so they have to release the stats soon). As things stand now, the Excelsior rules the roost of the Fed C-Store DPS cruisers. The high turn rate lets it use narrower arc weapons, and it still has solid engineering capability (the Regent falls a little short in that regard by having only 6 eng slots, which limits your ability to tank while supporting with heals or EWP).

However, an escort should be able to take a fair beating, not as much as a cruiser, but not bad. The simplest way to do that is with 2 copies of Emergency Power to Shields, 2 copies of Tactical Team 1, and Hazard Emitters and Transfer Shield Strength in sci slots. Set up a keybind with the EPtS and TT plus fire weapons and distribute shields, and then you can keep pounding on that and it'll be solid most of the time, HE and TSS are for when they're starting to get through that chain.
