I see a setting regarding Autoattack in the options menu, and occasionally I've seen people chatting about it on zone chat in game... but as of yet, I don't know exactly what it does or how to use it.

Could anyone help me in that regard?

Auto attack (in Options -> Controls) to "Toggle, non-combat cancels" then set your tray into mode 1,2 or 3 where you can see the weapons box. Right click on your weapons until they all have a green outline.

This allows you to save your spacebar from over use and killing it and focus on the combat at hand to throw heals/buffs to team members during combat or yourself.

when you have auto attack settings activated right click on your weapons in the weapon tray, not power tray and when you start attacking an enemy all weapons that have autofire on will shoot at the enemy the moment that enemy comes into the firing arc of your weapons.

Right click all your weapons that you want for autofire, they should have a green outline when set to autofire.

Sweet! Thanks a lot, guys. The right-clicking of the weapons was the piece of the puzzle I was missing.

Just make sure to use the Esc key to stop firing when you need to. It can make things messy if you don't.

Very messy, especially in ISE.
