Oddly I am using (2) Aegis and the KHG shield and finding it adequite for PvP, though I agree better versions need to exist.

If you don't have PH and HE, that means there are some very common things you aren't addressing that prevent you from using battle cloak even if it isn't on cd. So even by using MES to save ur BC cooldown, to bad, you aren't using it if your in a TB or a EWP with dot. What you will be doing is respawning. And that makes us all sad. That's the why on that. The KHG 3 piece though, CAN be activated in combat and DOES give a hefty defense boost. So. If you have that you have your redundancy.

Watch the video. Honest. I worked hard on that!

And here's the deal on ACC. Once your ACC is greater than thier DEF, you hit. No matter what, you hit. A target with TB on it has zero DEF. And that's why you don't need ACC. Or at least why I don't. You're on your own. But to be fair, I have a few hours of video showing plenty of "how to" kills without using TB. Cause I would never give up PH and HE for TB.

Unless you're playing escort style with CRF's and dogfigting and just spamming spacebar all willy nilly. And that's a different duck entirely. Quack! But that would be what raptors are for.

Unfortunately, TB is on a 45 sec cooldown.

It's ok. Its a BOP. You get 20 seconds out of cloak. 3 seconds of that is for killing something. 17 is for leaving. Okay now you have 25 seconds to while away the time and find another target.

Unless you're thinking of NOT cloaking and NOT doing an alpha. But that would be something a Raptor might do. And I know you wouldn't do that. So be happy and kill stuff.

I tested some configuration to find out my suited play style

First, I oriented myself on Thissler's configuration for PvP:

2x DHC, 1x DBB, 1xQTL (Full KHG)

Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, BO3, APO3
Lt. Com. Tac.: TT1, CRF1, THY3
Lt. Sci. : HE1, TB1
Lt. Eng: EPTW1, EPTS2

(With 3x DC Eng DOs, 2xBFI)

Result: Nice for PvP. Quite powerfull alpha strike due to 4 tac console. However, only medicore sustain dps. Average for PvE.
Hey there xiphenon, but what kind of doff does 'BFI' stand for? Or does anyone know?

BFI = "Brace for Impact" duty officer. I always forget the category in which this Doff is, however, it gives you an chance to regain a shield heal during brace for impact.

I went on youtube to see the Hoh sus perform, and amazingly, there is not a single video. The Hoh'sus still a mysterious ship...

Ok, I have tested the Hoh'Sus quite detailed with many, sometimes exotic builds now over some month.

The performance of the Hoh'sus highly depends on the build and the situation.

Here some of my experiences:

1. "Shields? What are Shields?"-build
Loadout: Directed Energy Modulation build with 4 Dual Cannons and 2 Turrets
Result: Not very impressive. My science BortasQ with 9 Turrets perform better (Sensor Analysis for the win).

2. "Hey, I'm an Raptor ... Realy! But don't shoot at me, please!"-build
Loadout: 4 DHCs, 2 Turrets back, Borg set for the borg procs, and 2 eng stations to have Aux2SIF1
Result: It's hard to completely fail with 4 DHCs and 4 disruptor coils ... and the Hoh'Sus becomes quite tanky with borg set and aux2sif ... however, with the Fleet Somraw will perform better here.

3. "beam overlord"-build
- Loadout: as 2) -1 DHC +1 Dual Beam Bank with BOIII
Result: Slightly better than 2), more spike damage, tear down the shields with DHCs and strike with BOIII hurts ... seriously.

4. "Shields! You puny shields dont stop a Klingon warrior, PetaQ!"-build
- Loadout: 2 DHCs, 1 DBB, 1 Quantum Torpedo, 2 turrets, BOIII, CRFIII, THYII and alot of weapon energy batteries
Result: The tactic here is to activate burst abilities ... and more burst abilities ... and more burst abilities. I found this more reliable then the copy Thisslers Norgh build with just BOIII and THYIII.

I currently tend to build 3 or 4 ... Build 4 is hard work to get the right timing and often quite frustrating, however, the reward is quite nice.

I can recommend the Hoh'sus to those players having fun playing rogues in mmorpgs. However, the choice of your target is quite limited and situational, for a more general purpose and easier gameplay I would suggest to use a raptor.
