And why must it be named after a class of Terran birds, especially one that already has a group of ships named after it?!?

Why couldn't you have named it after one of the nearly 20 Klingon bird species we have? http://mughom.wizage.net/?words=bird

Or maybe a different Klingon animal? http://mughom.wizage.net/?words=animal
Agreed. I HATE when writers use the term "warbird" or "raptor" or even, yes, "bird of prey" to refer to Klingon vessels. These are Rom descriptors! Kagga's crown, they're the ones who paint their ships like giant khest'n birds!!!

Filthy Roms...

It ain't Klingon if it doesn't have the evil eye (torpedo launcher on the front). I'm glad this does. I can't tell whether its meant to be in the 'formidable' or 'weaksauce' category. Class 6 cloaking device? Pfft, my cat has a class 6 cloaking device.

When I look at this ship, I see an outstreched claw of an eagle (or something similar). When ships remind me of something other than ship designs, they are truly special.

As far as I'm concerned this is the Earthling translation of the ship class. toQ is the Klingon word for 'bird of prey'. And if you're worried it clashes with the B'rel Bird of Prey, well, the Klingons refer to the B'rel as bI'rel. So, no worries.
