I pilot both the Fleet Sabre and the Fleet Somraw on my Fed and KDF Tac toons.

The Fleet Sabre gives decent survivability, with handling characteristics very close to that of the JHAS, which I could never afford.

The Fleet Somraw is hands down the closest I can get to escort-style gameplay on the KDF, and still keep a cloak for an initial alpha.
PvP-ready toons: Ishmael - Betazoid Sci - Vesta - U.S.S. Yukikaze - The unsinkable destroyer - T'Scurr - Romulan Tac - Mogai - I.R.W. Archer - Countervape overwatch - Ffairl - Romulan Sci - T'Varo - R.R.W. Yuudachi - The nightmare of Solomon

Take it easy!

yep, that's what I do... TSS/HE and run PH in ensign sci slot.... the 1 PH plus 1 copy of omega seem to cover me pretty well from movement debuffs

the lock box ships mostly rub me the wrong way. im a fleet ship guy, id rather have a fed ship, or a cloak on the kdf side. but im pretty sure i want a jem heavy for my fed, i might finally cave on that.

Klink tac1: B'rel for hit/run

Klink tac2: fleet K'tinga with brutal A2B plasma build

Klink engineer: Fleet Corsair cruiser: Best healer ship in game. Don't understand why Im the only one which uses it

Klink sci: Vo'Quv. But planning to make a "maximum disable duration" B'rel or Heng'ta or fleet Hoh'sus

Fed tac: Fleet saber: underated escort. Keep at high speed and its also very tanky

Fed eng: D'kora, useless cannon build. Thinking of getting the fleet advanced (MVAE) to make a kind of classic DBB/quant spike combined with ST3 healer, and give my main character an usefull job again

Fed sci: Wells timeship: best FED healer

I guess I'm stupid, I run the Fleet Norgh, and sometimes the Fleet Hoh'sus, in Pvp. (they're the ONLY fleet ships I own...both are on my Tac.) For non-tacticals, I generally just do ground-less complexity in ground, what OP items are in it, are known and, with a good team, avoidable/suppressable.

plastinga is a lot of fun this is so far the only kdf fleet ship i bought. You know it could be romulan after all.

After winning another Module I upgraded my Noobula, caue i just love mah space frog.

For the eng/d'kora try beams...i know its still beams, but i allows you to paly more cruiser like.

I'm currently running a somehwat expensive version of the breen ship.

*waves hand* these are not the subsystems you were looking for

Fleet Ktinga on an engineer (terrible build)

Fleet Norgh - good fun but so flimsy.

Fleet Scourge - haven't used it for a while but a nice escort.

They fixed the shield values on tribble. So now fleet retrofits have to normal shield modifiers. Hull values of some ships remain gimped though.

I owned the Hoh'Sus for a stint, but next to the Jem'Hadar and the Temporal Science Vessel, you can see the shortcomings pretty clearly. The Scourge Destroyer - I have great admiration and respect for this ship.

And with all the kinetic dmg being thrown around lately, didn't really enjoy running from a fight all the time.

Certainly will look towards the Negh'Var for my engy and the Vo'qov for my sci down the line.

My favourite looking KDF ship - has always been the K'T'inga. For me, it's the iconic KDF ship next to the B'Rel.
