Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
Okay, considering I've been having a lot of luck predicting snow this year, I figured I'd try my hand at predicting what fleet ships Cryptic's got coming before May. I'm limiting this to the Fed side, but I'll also try and guess the shipyard tier...
Notably absent...any sort of fleet Connie (even just the Exeter variant). Sorry guys, it'd be cool, but it just won't happen.
So, what do you think? Spot on or totally crazy?
I do not see a fleet vesta happening for multiple reasons. first it is already at fleet level (although I would love to have the 11th console slot to be a 5th tac slot, lol). second there are three versions of it, so which one would be taken to fleet level. the only example for that, was the odyssey (and probably the ambassador will be a second), but with that it was a gimped version of the oddy, and it was given for free to other players anyway. they will not do that, as it is pointless. you would have to pay around the same price for it as a normal vesta, but it would be gimped, and without the aux cannons (not a fan though) and consoles (not a fan either, but has to be noted).
I'd gladly drop 500Z to get an extra 10% hull and shields, as would many others. Shouldn't be too game breaking, unless they do something really fun like come out with an 11 or 12 console version.
Honestly, if they really don't want the fleet Vesta to be too game breaking, they could just replace the LtC Uni with an LtC Sci, and then go ahead and give it the 11 consoles and boosted shield and hull. As far as I can tell most of the complaints against it have been based on moving that LtC around, rather than keeping it as a true sci ship, which is the way I run it anyway (largely out of stubbornness, I refuse to give up on sci while I'm still playing this game).
In a thread about giving designs to cryptic, several things were stated. Posting original work for fun should probably go in the shipyard sections. If you want it to get it in the game, theres a small chance they will be doing a kickstarter project to get fan ships in the game. Whether or not you want to wait for that, or try and gain some foothold in the competition that will likely ensue is up to you. Maybe the extra time will allow you to fine tune some elements, thats what i'm doing.
I want to see new ships added to the Fleet store as well as old ones. So for example, I would like to see.

Fleet Steamrunner
Oh heck no. An escort with 37950 Hull and 1.1 Shield mod would be a bit much currently... That and I doubt they'd do a fleet version since they apparently have a deal for it to be a Steam exclusive.
The ships that aren't playable currently probably won't be introduced through the fleet system most likely.
The Atrox I'm mildly surprised they haven't done yet, maybe they're waiting for more KDF Fleets to have access to Fleet Vo'Quv ships before they introduce it.

Yeah, the Steamrunner Retrofit already has Fleet ship stats anyway -- a full 1.0 Shield Modifier (higher than most Fleet escorts), 10 consoles, 34500 Hull HP... it's a beast already.
I would LOVE to see a Fleet Galaxy-X with 4 Tac consoles and a Universal Ensign slot at least... not so much for myself, since I'm all about the Defiant, but because I'd just like to see this ship alongside me in more STFs.
What Cryptic also needs to do is add in Fleet variants with unique skins (not just the old C-store skins that existed pre-S6), for ships not currently with Fleet versions.
I'm looking at you, Fleet Cruisers and Fleet Light Science Vessels... they can add those in without using the Constitution and Oberth skins, keeping those ships exclusive to 24th and 25th Century designs at the Fleet level.
Honestly, I can imagine a number of people would probably buy the Exeter ship just to fly it at T5 with the Fleet Cruiser.
