Ground: 10 from gambling, 2.5 from omega armor, 12.5 from five omega 3sets, 3 from romulan passive, 3 from lucky, 2.5 base, making 33.5, or 34.5 if you take Pakled and exchange Lucky for Dumb Luck. Actual numbers may vary by as much as +/- 0.5% because of (presumably) compounded rounding error.

You can add another 11.5 (I think) to that by adding a crithx3 weapon, Strike Team, and Target Optics, but that's not constant.

On ground all 3 of my current builds sci, eng, and tact sit crouched at 35 percent base crit chance. That's constant base as I always shoot aim/crouched (for the most part)

With my tact traits and captain/kit powers I can cap out at 56 chance just from my tact alone not including other possible tact rally cry to stack with mine. This does not include feresean chag grass 2% (which I no longer stock) or any crit chance from weapons.

on my romulan Contortrix I get to have 31.1% CrtH and over 106% CrtD base. #roms

Mobius does over 21% CrtH, nearly 120% severity.

crth ground, somewhere close to 100%. <-- this might have been nerfed and now sitting somewhere to 60%

crth space, somewhere close to 30.

STO is the best game ever and the players love it.

This is incorrect I believe. For team bonus only the best one is applied so for crit bonus from omega you get your own plus one more from the team. That changed after you stopped playing.

Even so, my ground sci has a constant 30%.

on my romulan alpha torp build i have(had) 30-35% overall, 45% for photons.

Thing is, it seems that SRO rom boffs don't stack anymore so now you get

- 4% rep trait
- 4% starship trait
- 2.5% base
- 0-4% skill tree
- 1.8% ZPM
- 0.76% tachyo
- 0.98% borg
- 1.5% rom captain trait
- 2% SRO(x4-5?)
- 10%(photonic arsenal - photons only)
- +100% partigen mainipulator
- 4-5 x 1.6% Fleet tac consoles

So if rom boffs would still stack you can easily pull 45-50% on APA
if not then 35% is realistic max without sacrificing console slots for CRTH

Silly mortals with their weaksauce energy weapons! We science gods are cranking out close to 100% crth with Particle Manipulator, making every TBR pulse or EWP smear hurt just a little bit more. Even factoring in my feeble torp weapons (gotta do something between CDs), I'm still parsing 70-75% in ISA.

Silly mortals...

Don't mess with me! I'm a bona fide PvPer!

can also address the opposite end of the spectrum,

lower your targets defence and resistances,

once a ship is at a dead stop its defence goes down, so tractors, gravton pulse, anything really that kills speed and turnrate, also mind you- I believe that engine power itself plays a big factor, so, if you drain their engine power well below zero, I think they get slapped with a even bigger negative defence rating, in short = more crits

then theres the resistance side of things, so, sensor scan, attack pattern beta/delta, fire on my mark, hyperflux- few others chew away at the targets resistance levels (sensor scan alone will strip like 80 some resistance from a target, hyper flux gets rid of like 60 or so and they both can stack to send the resistance way down into negative level both me and finn tested this),

cause I believe with emo's approach- hes chasing that 1 big hit, hes looking for that 1 k.o. punch, and as important as it is to crit, and to max out as much of that damage as possible, its still a good approach to look at the other side of the equation, your target so getting your target's defense to zero minus alot, and their resistance to zero minus alot- you have hits that do insane damage and crits that WILL BE 1 hit kills
