Dump the DEM for another Tet-pulse gennie, and same for the Zero Point chamber. Next, you're a CRUISER, you don't have much for Tac seating, and Beams drain your power FAST, so swap the beams for something USEFUL, say, 2 Single cannon, a Dual Beam bank, and another single cannon up front, 4 turrets rear. For your Tac seating, find a BOFF with Cannon Rapid Fire and Tactical Team.

Next, trade out that MkVIII deflector for something USEFUL. You want to boost your SI and Shields esp., but also look at engines that produce extra (aux) or boost your turn-rate.

Of course, the SUPERIOR choice, is to roll a Klink and learn the fine art of dancing a Bird of Prey. BoP's have the lowest hull and worst shields of any ship in the game (some of them have less hull than a Runabout!!), learn how to fly one, and you'll find it's easier to BEAT one in your Fedtoon.

there are a whole number of reason for what happen to you. I can only invite you to the pvp bootcamp (see pvp sections of the forum).

If you would like to not blow up within seconds, and understand why certain things that work in Pve don't do so in PvE, come join us at boot camp.

We'll you ll be a better cruiser pilot both in PvE and PvP, and you learn how to exploit the weaknesses of you opponents. Despite what some responders posted. Gear, is not the issue.

First, "Klingon ships are not OP"

That caused me to LOL.

I have several of them and they are hands down at least a Tier above their Fed Counterparts.

I have them and fly them so I can't be snowed by the loudly shouted, "Oh No their not!" by most of the KDF here.

Second and most important, a PvP build isn't rocket science as some would have others believe.

It is merely a Science Captain in a BoP.

The combination of IP breaking cheat holds from the Sci Captain and the absurdity of the Battle Cloak being able to save you to run away and heal again and again is the primary recipe for most PvP uber builds out there.

Combine this with a pack of like minded ruthless, win at all costs PvPr's and you have a winning PvP group.

Now it's time to camp the respawn point and grief some people like true PvP "Elites."
If your post is anything like, "I have a sandwich so you can't be starving" it's time to rethink posting.

I'm going to say that this is untrue. People who take PvP really seriously will try to squeeze out every advantage they have, but that is only a minority of PvPers.

When I'm experimenting with a build I usually try it with common XI weapons and consoles and I usually end up doing just fine if the build is good and the play style is good, especially in a place like Ker'rat, where ability varies widely.

If you take PvP seriously and you like your build you will eventually want to take those purple MK XI or better weapons out of your bank and install them.

I should add to the OP that having a good PvE build is not the same as having a good PvP build, and unless you have tested it in elite STFs, you have no idea whether it is even a good PvE build.

For instance, right now my main science officer flies a mult-vector escort. It works well for STFs, where DPS is king, but I have largely given up on PvP with it because it is not suited to his skills. A Vesta, Temporal Science Vessel, Nebula, or some other science vessel is.

1: if you're a tac officer you should not be in a sovy.
2: tetryon is practically useless in pvp since the proc can be resisted.
3: if you're taking a cruiser into pvp you need to be zombie tanked
4: if you're not using at least mk XI purples or mk XII blues you are too weak
5: if you can't bring down an escort in pvp with a sovy then you're not doing it right.

I've done way too much PVP, especially on my Vo'Quv. After around 6 months of playing around in warzones I finally finished the mission to die 25 times.

Bob's been running Arena. He faces a PUGmade. Bob goes WTF.
Bob's been running Arena and facing PUGmades. He faces a Premade. Bob goes WTF.

The above is entirely possible...a person could go through that series of WTF as they encounter different "levels" of opponents - from PvE NPCs up through a PvP Premade.

Sometimes though, Bob can run into folks from a Premade in that first trip into Ker'rat. There's all sorts of possible variations - so it might be a series of WTFs or it can be some pretty hefty WTFs.

I got that one done in about 30 mins. Of course it helps to sit in the middle of a spawn camp without shields

Sometimes you have to give them more help than that - take off any armor consoles, any gear that might passively help your hull regen, etc, etc, etc.

Though, it can be funny - I can get deaths faster by slapping the Reman shields on a Vo'Quv than by running no shields on the T3 Norgh. That big shiny target - they focus fire.
