Vesta is a Starfleet vessel while this one is Andorian.
I'd want the Ambassador (being a ship out of time) to have one first or the Breen ship which just doesn't look right with a Fed bridge.
I concur. Why the bridges seen in movies I-VI aren't available to plyers from tier 1 on up is beyond me. Players had the expectation that interiors would be the correct match to the ship they were getting. So far it has been more miss than hit on that despite the highly vocal and varied demands i find throught the player community.
Reminds me still no Soyuz-, Constellation- or NX-91001-class ships ...
Gotta love the timing of this announcement, when so many people are up in arms over Cryptic's most recent decision which has really made people take a hard look at where the real issues lie with Cryptic's design direction.
Does this come with new playable content?
No?
Well Cryptic can keep it. I don't buy fluff.

At the same time, there are many problems that we are perfectly capable of fixing ourselves. And we should...

Also, the 'original' was used as a battlecruiser. Now hundreds of years later, even with the same general design but new parts, obviously some things wouldn't be the same
Hundreds of years later, a temporal anomaly opened in the Azure Nebula and Luke Skywalker and Han Solo came to our universe changing our very existance!!
Sorry just couldn't resist, no bad intended.
Actually it would have been nice to give the Fed. their first battlecruiser in the form of the Kumari, that would be more authenitc with the original. Andorian battlecruiser would have been a nice opportunity to do that. And then throw a sci-vessel bundle similar to the Vesta for the KDF so there won't be complaints about Fed. getting their kind of ship or getting anything over KDF at all.
Fantasies and wishfull thinking aside, I was looking forward to the Andorian ship, but the way it is now, I'm more impressed about the unique bridge being the one from ENT. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that these are bad ships in any way, I have no doubt that they will be loved by many players. But, IMHO, they are a bit all over the place. I mean, holy overgrown cannons, Batman! And for my taste, the material is kind of too colourfull and shiny like a pimpmobile.
Forget Andorians, I'll need to make a char. named Snoop Dogg if I decide to fly one!
"Honor allows us to overcome our weaknesses, to swallow false pride and find common cause with our enemies against a greater foe, and to be worthy of the glory that we receive from our actions."
Did you really just make that comparison? I'm sorry but you just lost all credibility if you had any.
Why doesn't this forum have an ignore button.
No need for ignorance.
The quote might be an extreme example but the message stands; if an issue is affecting lots of people but not you the issue still stands. If you don't have empathy for others don't expect them to have empathy when you need it.

On topic: looking forward to this ship but wish it was a single release rather than a pack. I could just buy 1 but I want it all.
I'm hoping this ship has the turn rate of the Defiant.
I'm calling that as a NEGATIVE (I figure 15-16) but SIX DHCs will ease the pain, if I'm right. The tradeoff will be that it's toothless if not aimed at a target so the maneuverability needs to be modest.
They called attention to the six wing cannon placements.
That says to me that we're looking at six fore weapons, two more than any other ship in the game.
R.I.P. Caspian Division.
An expensive lesson that one compromised account can undo the hours of work and hundreds of dollars spent in good faith by a fleet.

I might be the one that is wrong, but I think you're missreading their post.
"Nobody can say "no" to a ship with two huge wing-mounted cannons, especially three of them."
The way I understand it:
Nobody can say "no" to a ship with two huge wing-mounted cannons - 2 huge wing cannons, one for each wing.
Especially three of them - not cannons per wing, 3 ships with huge wing cannons, each wing has one.
