Besides, how could I get within 10 feet (to use your barbaric term) of a student if we were in space? Clearly I am saving that for next week during the ground Boot Camp, obviously.

I did learn one thing though. Before the 2nd session earlier, apparently Sargon did not feel the need to grace us with his august presence.
Yeah, sorry about that. Some friends planned a "welcome home" party for us, in light of our recent move from Europe to the US

As for what I learned? Chained sub-nukes hurt. Even for an engi cruiser. And a few other things I'd rather not go into to maintain my dignity.
Which session did you attend? We had a makeup session at the CET one, which I attended. It may be that folks running the EST session forgot to set up an makeup session classroom. For that, I apologize. I should have reminded them to do that.

Can someone please confirm that the makeup class did not occur at the EST session? If so, then I will try to organize a Session 2 makeup class for next Saturday.

I learned quite abit listening to the others discussing different pvp topics although I could not partake in space training.[because I didn't have a Freakin Mic!] gonna buy one today. My thing was yesterdays class was way too long. I could not stay up for last night's 8pm class because I had to work early sunday morning.

There were two makeup session classrooms in the EST session. I attended one.

You weren't able to participate? That's unfortunate, even without a mic, you should've at least been able to watch or still partake even so.

I attempted to attend the text-only session, but the listed instructor had disappeared into the Champions character creator and didn't respond to any messages.

I attended the EST session, I was in classroom 6 with Kraven and Arwin as coaches. However I think our session went a little over and I wasn't told anything about making up session 2.

I guess I missed that courtesy of what I said above.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Tired of Wasting EC and Time trying to get Superior Romulan Operative BOffs? Here's a cheap and easy way to get them, with an almost 100% chance of success.

I recommend NOT having battles of 6v6. That means one player ends up not being part of the team, and has a harder time giving or receiving heals. As that lone player in an escort, it was difficult to work with everyone else on my side. Fortunately, a few players did try to keep an eye on me. Unfortunately, most of them seemed to be on the enemy team.

Overall, it was good training (I was in the group with 3 subnucs), but I wish we'd done several quicker battles with brief discussions in between instead of one long battle to 30. That way we'd have chances to ask questions and then try to apply things we learn.

Being the odd duck I answered in the wrong thread.
To recap, I enjoyed though I was not able to do more than listen.

I learned quite a bit about teamwork and what abilities can work where and what clears them. It's very interesting to me that Engineers seem to be getting pushed out of premades in favor of more useful science captains though. Even at that, I seem to have some very good success when I go into pug's with my Galaxy X.

I basically went into the whole bootcamp in the Galaxy X expecting to fall flat on my face, but honestly after all I've learned it's been well worth it. I've really been impressed at how I do with a ship everyone thought was a joke. It really is a reward to have people send me tells to say how good the ship is.

At any rate I am looking forward to the last session and hope it brings about better pvp for everyone.
