If you think Tactical Captains in Escorts rule PvP you should call your local Poison Control Center immediately.
My Assault Cruiser taking on a Carddy ship and a LOT of torpedos going off against her hull. Yay for Eng/Cruiser survivability! Don't think my mains escort would have made it.
