I will let you all in on a little secret - "its working as intended"

I doubt they will make a change as the system provides a built in - slow you down mechanism from getting all the required inputs in an instant.

It also eats up lots of fleet marks - which people in small fleets usually have lots and lots of.

whenever i buy packs for my fleet, i buy in lots of 150, and you can tell when i an there....all the doff bodies floating around the station. Why do that youask? where's your humanity you say?....

well, they agreed to be put in a box, and well, space station necessities like air food and water are in limited supply so i assumed that they understood the risk since they all signed responsibility waivers (I checked with STO).

The only problems i run into is the cleaning bill, the windows do get rather gooey after a doff run and a solar storm....

My fleet is currently stuck on doffs cause we're choc full of doffs we don't need and the excess are too expensive to simply dismiss or grind up either in terms of FCs lost or dil spent.

Almost making us pay twice just to get these medical officers, once for a <30% chance of getting one and second for disposal/management/loss of the other doffs we don't need.

I'm sorry and this might be working as the Dev's intended but, let them sit there and buy 200 doffs at a time to fill fleet projects and see what they say then.

First of all it's not possible for every Fleet Member to donate a few doffs every other day, you'd run out. Maybe buy a few cheap ones on the exchange but, this very problem is causing an inflation in the Medical vs Science Doffs --Tactical vs Security -- and those of us who buy from the Fleet Store know the ratio is never in our favor. So, we're stuck with extra doffs and our roster is filled up and in order to get more of needed ones for fleet project we have to dump them on the exchange or keep in the mail system.

Just going through a roster of 200 takes a lot of time to weed out the doffs. They aren't listed in any order so it's scrolling madness and it isn't any fun whatsoever.

We should be able to buy whatever doff we need to fill the Fleet Project or for our own roster.

Please, please just make it easier on us.

It really is ridiculous, when a game forces you to exploit mail system storage just to function its a sign of bad design.

T5 science is 90 sci 90 med doffs
On a good day you get 40 med doffs, on a bad day.. 20s
If you had to buy 60 per day that is 6.4 million EC for a daily assignment.
The other option is to do the 2 500xp assignments at a cost of around 130,000 dilithium daily? Isn't this way beyond extreme?

When common medical doffs are more expensive than rares, there is a design problem, security doffs are no better, mostly because people are just ignoring science it is so bad.

It is that difficult to make the assignment doffs require similar totals, but in the correct ratios?
If we need 180 doffs for Tier IV science, 130 science and 50 medical is fair
Engineering isn't so bad, its close to 1 to 1, though the assignments all aren't.
Tactical is about a 2 to 1 ratio

This happens to me often.

When I buy a tactical box, I end up with 80% tacs and very few security.
Engineering box, 80% operations, very few engineers.
Science box 70% science, rarely medical.

I'm getting quite annoyed with this, as it gives me a massive surplus of ones I don't need in order to acquire the ones I do.

After every box session, I have to put around 20-30 doffs in mailbox because they're not the ones the fleet assignment required.

They need to break down the boxes further into sub-categories:

Tactical tier gives you the option to purchase both tactical and security boxes.
Engineering tier=engineering and operations boxes
Science tier=science and medical boxes.

This way you can control precisely what kind of doff you recieve and are not recieiving a surplus of unnecessary doffs in order to acquire a few of the ones you need.

This has been one of my pet peeves since we began to have to spend Fleet credits to advance the starbase. I and others have posted about the imbalance. AFAIK, it could be relatively easily fixed by porting over the same sorting mechanism that Cryptic implemented in the Exchange for finding specialized doffs.

It might be slightly more palatable if they would increase the recompense you got when you dismissed an officer. 10 Recruitment and 1 Dil? Really? Even kicking it up to 10 Dil would be better.
