Your fellow PVPers from earlier in this thread seem to disagree strongly.

That has more to do with the increased jump height (which makes it easier to get back up on the roof after they have been killed or driven off) and their increased dodge chance on ranged attacks (which makes it harder to kill them with sniper fire). The felines have a definite advantage here.

Well, the species is something you have to pay to unlock. By definition, anything you have to pay for is going to be better than stuff you get for free, otherwise it would be given for free. Thanks to the Dilithium Exchange, you can easily buy these powerful items for yourselves. Problem solved.

If you think something is so overpowered though, you should stop complaining about it, and take that thing into Elite STFs, like Hive. When the cat species saves you from being instakilled by THE FLOOR, and that Tholian Sword used along with Pounce keeps the Queen ON THE GROUND, You will be GLAD that you had them.

I successfully completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE.

What if i don't like the look of a Cat? Why i have to play with Mr. Hairball as the only viable option for PvP?. I want my human to be equally competitive as any other race. And this not only applies to Humans, it does to any other race as well except Caitians/Ferasans

Besides, did you realize that these situations that you're describing are broken mechanics within the current game state?. You're taking advantage of broken game mechanics to beat PvE content.

Haven't been doing all that much lately as I have been mostly doffing and doing space but the few times I did in past few weeks have been a lot more fun thanks to balancing the Cryo launcher. Now they just have to fix the willpower resists to stun/knockback and it will be great.

Ok... what about no? This is a MMORPG, the Role-Playing Game tell you something? And to make it even worst, is a STAR TREK game..

In other words: If I want to play with my Vulcan, I should be able to be competitive. The fact that you paid for a race is what you get, a NEW race to play, NATHING more, and nothing less. It does not have to be overpower and it does not have to screw the poor ground PVP like is happening now.

If you want to play cats online, you should go to Hello Kitty.

Hoo.. if you need a cat to finish in to the hive, is because you are doing it wrong.

Issue: The Chill/Hold from cold damage is suppose to develop an Immunity against repeated Cold effects. This immunity does not function even though the resistance is displayed on the buff bar. Multiple users of the CRM200 or Compressed Cryo Pulsewave can effectively hold a team in place, for large extended periods of time by chaining their Cold AOE damage

I disagree that there's anything wrong here. The player was held 2x when the cold hold resist was not showing as active and the chill is a "slow" not a hold if I'm not mistaken. Since the player was not "held" while immunity was up this looks like it's working like it should.

Update from Borticus

As for the complaints about Resistances... Well, I believe there's a misconception about how Resistance to Control effects works in STO.

When you have Resistance to a Knockback effect (for example), the result is not that Knockbacks have a lower chance to effect you. Instead, it's that Knockbacks effect you to a far lesser degree. You are resisting the Magnitude of the effect, not the effect itself.** So, to a certain extent, these resistances appear to be Working As Designed, when they are properly applying upon the expiration of a Control effect. If a Control effect does NOT grant any sort of resistance or immunity upon expiration, that's a bug we will endeavor to address.

Now, despite this Resistance functionality being WAD, that doesn't necessarily mean that our current Design is foolproof. We're currently examining expiration-based resistance/immunity effects to see if the Design needs to change. We'll update the community if we decide to make such a sweeping choice.

**EDIT: Or, sometimes, the Duration of the effect.

Once again another typical response with the cliche bad insults. One-shot kills from pulsewaves are more OP than any species ability could ever be. But as usual it's ignored because if it's not a one-shot pulsewave or an escort in space, and it wins, then it's deemed too strong.
