# 71 Tholian rep items

Are they going to be added to the test items guy over in DS9 when they're added? (if they havent already)

If you're afraid it'll discourage people from testing eventual tholian events just add another tribble test reward for playing on them for a few hours or something.

The Nukara Reputation is filled with placeholder information that could change with each patch. It's best to not make any assumptions about the current state.

Wait until Patch Notes are released that detail the features of the Reputation - its rewards, its related content, etc. At that point, it will be relatively safe to assume that what you see, is what you'll get on Holodeck (give-or-take some fine tuning).

For the time being, we're not prepared to answer questions regarding the details of a system that is still in flux.

Hmm...guess this answers my question well enough for now.

Does this also apply to things like Traits? i.e. now that Trait info has been posted to Tribble patch notes, are these pretty much the traits that we're going to be getting on Holodeck?

Or is the system "still in flux"? (I hope so! Feedback time! )

Hey devs? Can you not do what you did with the New Romulus reputation and give us repeatable missions that award moderately large amounts of marks instead of a host of low mark reward dailies and repeatables that award more Fleet Marks than reputation marks despite being "advertised" as being primarily reputation mark reward missions?

Here's how it works: You pay to get something now and avoid the grind, or you grind to avoid paying money.
You folks have paid money, so not only have you getten stuff much earlier, you don't have to grind.
Sounds about right for F2P to me.

As for the rep system itself:
I really hope the sets have a special set bonus when fitted to Tholian ships. So far, the Tholian ships are the only lock box/lobi ships that don't have at least one set that gives them special bonuses.

I like the sound of that tier 5 trait; since science abilites have been nerfed to hell and back, science ships could use a bit of a boost in the damage department.

They said they are adding a fleet asset sometime after the Romulan update; I hope it gives consoles that boost tholian rep gear in much the same was as the embassy gear boosts Romulan rep gear. I am personally hoping for engineering consoles that either add a chance to do some shield stripping or buff tetryon weapons (since Tet is what the Tholian stuff is)

Have to agree.

The Borg missons have it right for a payout balance. The Romulan missions... not so much. And the disparity between them is pretty hard to explain away since having one done right gives you a clear template to work off of for the other.

I made Tier V Romulan based entirely off the Daily Sector Patrol for 60 marks per day, but I didn't get any equipment. If I had... I might still be at it.

I think the things I'm most interested in, personally, are the stats for the Refracted Tetryon Hyper Dual Beam Bank.

To devs: please, for the love of all that is pure and good in this world, give it at least [Acc]x2. Anything else is just an extra. Without decent accuracy, its pvp viability is enormously impaired and it becomes borderline worthless to those who fighting intelligent opponents.

Then of course theres the special flavour of the refracted tetryons. I'm betting we'll see Tet weapons with a secondary disruptor proc, which would be awesome on a number of levels. So long as they keep the tetryon energy type for compatibility with the tier 5 power and existing consoles I'm happy.

The stats and set bonuses for the two new tholian space sets could also be good. This is a chance for them to FINALLY add more flavour to pvp viable end game equipment, other than just current STF sets and elite fleet shield. If it is roughly on par with other sets, heres to hoping it doesnt have an innate tet resist, which would be the biggest own goal in game history.

On a side note, I guess its too much too hope for Tholian bridge officers and captain species down the road?

Has anyone been able to catch a glimpse at the requisitions yet on tribble???

What makes you think it will be a disruptor proc?
I do admit I am a bit unsure what the second proc could be, on the one hand, Tholians seem to use Tetryon/phaser hybrids, but on the other, we already have those via lock box.

Beyond tholian rep, though, I hope the next fleet asset has a buff to tetryons like how the Embassy buffs Plasma. Whenever we get a rep system, the fleet asset should match for some synergy.

So I sadly don't have enough Nukara marks to unlock the Tholian Refracting Tetryon weapons, but I can see the console stats:

From the Tier 2 Nukara Strike Force Reputation:

Universal Console- Nukara Particle Converter
Very Rare Universal Console- Cannot Equip More than One Of This Item

+5 Shield Power Setting
+17.3 Starship Power Insulators
+17.3 Starship Particle Generators
+10% Accuracy With Beam Weapons

Immediate first thought: I love the idea. Gives a nice boost to beams for cruisers and science ships, and seems to fit with the Tholian's idea of heavy reliance on beam weapons.
