Yes, chairs on the show rotate, or the console does out of the way. We don't have a way to do that though. We have to have a static console, and a static chair. Sooooooo. . . we leave room. When we don't, we catch hell.
Erm... What about the Tholian bridges. Those consoles move position at a button prompt.
We can make things move on a button press. And yes, their collision will update as well.
However, we have no way to sync a player animation up to that so that you could walk up to a chair, click to rotate it out, sit down, and then click to rotate it back. That's more complex than we can do.
We could have the console rotate out of the way, and then back into place, but the ONLY place I ever remember seeing that is on the Ent D bridge. And that's a lot of work for every bridge.
Edit: And the Kumari does have a bridge, just not a full interior.
When is the excelsior class going to get an excelsior bridge?
I fly one and never go onto my bridge cause its not an excelsior bridge
The "Blaze" Bridge from the Prometheus Bridge pack is pretty close.
Yes, it is based on the Prometheus bridge from the Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle". However, that bridge is actually a reconfigured ENT-A bridge (as in physically, they took the old ENT-A set and replaced the panels and moved a few things around, elevated/lowered some floor sections), which was also reconfigured as the Excelsior bridge.
