ya nice to have options and all... I already use EPTE is my point... I hope the game doesn't get balanced around everyone having 100% EPTW uptime cause now well they will.

do what down the road? the EPt skills are now perfect, for the current game.

im going to be more worried about escorts using EPtE then EPtW honestly. my KDF battle cruiser user though, that will be useing EPtW3, is nearly giddy

Well it won't just be the cruisers anymore... expect to see a lot more escorts rocking EPTS + EPTW with 2 dmg control doffs for 100% up time on both.

Most people have until now just ran 2 epts cause they are too worried about the 1-2 times in a night when they won't get a doff proc in there roll.

I am thinking when people start getting dropped by Romulan 5 Tac Unit Enhanced battle cloakers putting out 80k overloads on demand... people are going to likely regret being so hard against the proper changes that Cryptic doesn't have the spheres to implement. (also remember that that crazy ship has a lt cmd engi slot... hello EPTW 3 always on.)

I agree though in general cruisers can use a DPS bump... I just fear that this change isn't going to help them much overall.

Well, I'm using EptE on my cruisers since launch. So it is just buff to me. But now I will also cycle it on my steamrunner But that EPtW, hmm 100% uptime for EPTW3 on my Ol'Girls. Splendid I guess Jorf will get a stroke when he sees all the selfish builds popping up in shipbuilding thread.

lol ya... if someone gets a engi with eptw doing some dmg he might have a coronary.

I just hope that you and I and the handful of others that honestly love EPTE won't have to drop it to rock EPTW and EPTS. As the dmg just can't be done with out... cause now its likely someone like Gecko will see this change as a good excuse to just keep adding passive shield regen and other terrible ideas.

Why drop it ? I always seen EPtE as a optional tool, not something that must be up whole time.

I will try to have EPtW,EPtE and EPTS with ATSIF on my steamrunner, with 2 damage control DOFFs. Same goes for my Galaxy and Galaxy-X. You know I was already thinking about ultra selfish build with EPtE and 2x Aux to damp for 100% coverage lol

Well most escorts can't really run 3... and you can't keep 100% uptime on anymore then 2.

Optimal build is 2 EPTx...

Your right though some ships could keep the epte as a backup.

I will most likely be keeping my current setup and simply be zooming all over the place... with my EPTE EPTS Aux to Damp Omega 3 with 2 AP doffs. I will be 15k away anytime I feel like it I'm thinking.

I like the changes to epte epta and eptw don't get me wrong... I am just dreading gecko or some other Cryptic money grubber seeing this as a green light to add even more healing. I think we can all see it happening now.

LoL I'm planning to have all 4 emergency powers on my G-R. Simply because EptE and EptA have nice situation benefit for ensign station and I have plenty of them. It allows flexibility, which actually is something I missed before with those barely noticeable 5s buffs.

Sure only two can be run at the same time, but the combinations for different needs are great.

EPtA + EPtW = firing + supporting !
EPtA + EptS = tanking !
EPtE + EpTW = chasing !
EptS + EPtW = firing under fire !
EptE + EptA = heroic rescue !
EptE + EptS = running under fire !

Ah can't wait to come back from home and test it on tribble.

Now add new warpcores and possibile +5 power cap to one subsystem -> bonus to another and it gets really funny with so much power.
