In the end though its like life - if you are not educated, everyone else who does has the advantage
I merely expect more intelligence from the playerbase in regards to how things work in STO.
Since the game has PvP bootcamp and numerous threads on all aspects of PvP gameplay the continuing "KDF is OP" whine is truelly a poor attempt at sabotage.
He needs to educate himself instead crying from a place of ignorance.

One's expectations should be set high or one will quickly become bored with how often one's expectations are met.

And that's not overpowered or cheating using a script? Ah well, just another loser reported to cryptic.
Haha, fellow fed, welcome to Kerrat.

Trust me my friend, there was no cheating, it's just mechanisms that have existed for years and months and cryptic would have changed them if they were exploits... Tactics like alpha strike, beam overload to punch through shields and followed by torpedoes straight to the hull are some of the oldest tricks in the books. This is one way of delivering huge damage potential in a short amount of time. People usually don't like doing pressure damage nowadays because that damage can usually be outhealed. So PvPers will try to get you within your resists cool down. Seeing how fast you died, I think you had none of your defensive buffs up, and the KDF one shotted you with an alpha strike probably using 2 or 3 beams overload and finish you off with a high yield torpedo or transphasic cluster straight to the hull.

There is only one way to avoid these kinds of attacks, keep moving, keep your emergency power to shields running and tactical team. But you also need to pilot your ship right.

Hmmph, guess that's why I get bored so easily.

Could be. Sometimes the challenge of life must come from within if its not coming from without.

Well, I encountered something unusual in Kerrat today: a sourpuss Klingon! He accused me of exploits after I nuked him and his friends a few times using my now-legendary torpedo death ship. Here's to you, KB5000!

(Just because you've been using DHCs for so long, you've convinced yourself no other weapon can work... doesn't mean it's actually true

torpedo death ship? now that's a build i wouldn't mind looking over; things like that are always more interesting than the same old boring cannon cookiee-cutter builds

By the way, I'm a Fed, and my record is 3 klingon player ships destroyed with a single torp spread III. Who's overpowered now?

There's a loser here, all right... it's the one who reports other players to Cryptic for being better than him.
Reading this made me smile.

Fleet advanced escort. Two advanced fleet quantums, fore and aft. 5x 30% quantum damage tac consoles. 2-piece adapted MACO bonus (25% torp/mine dmg). Rule 62 console bonus (11% torp/mine dmg). Main offensive ability: Torpedo Spread III + II.

Other weapons/offensive abilities include AP DHC + DBB for shield popping (pair of BO I and one CRF I), isometric charge, and gravity well. 6 points in particle emitters, 6 points in starship sensors. Other goodies equipped include tachyokinetic converter, borg and romulan universal consoles, and a subspace field modulator. 3 Romulan crit boffs as well.

If I fire my torp spread, and you're in range... it doesn't matter if you move out of range, cloak, or evade... they'll catch you. Spreads do not miss. I'd say a good half of my kills are Klingons who obligingly turned off their shields and cloaked with a buttload of my torps on their tail. The coolest thing about this setup is how frequently it scores multi-kills. The sight of 3 klinks exploding from a single torp spread is just beautiful.
