In case you guys want it, further down on this page (under the heading of, shockingly, "MATH") is a link to the spreadsheet for figuring the acc overflow stuff. As I recall, the guys also discuss it in the video.

No. It isn't. I'm almost sorry I read this response.

It doesn't solve for anything besides itself. It is as sensical as


4 = 4 or x = x.

What exactly is the purpose?

I have a FED char and I was wanting to determine what is the effect of having 2x Naussican Boffs in Sci and Eng Slots (for piracy trait = +2% damage each), since no Superior Operative ones are available in other than Tact Slots from Embassy Boffs.

Looking at your chart and with my current weapons i get this as the best combination:
Weapon and Console Combination Hit Chance Crit Chance Crit Severity Damage Multiplier
[CrtD]x3 [Loc]x5 100% 27.5% 212% 1.583

Does this mean if I add the 2x Naussican Boffs (+4% damage) the damage multiplier goes from 1.583 to 1.623? meaning + 0.04, or can you please put the effect of the Naussican Boffs in your chart if the extra damage it boosts goes elsewhere in the formula which calculates the damage multiplier.

Also Protonic Arsenal (3pc set) seems to decrease stats rather than increasing them. Am I missing something there?
