Klingon have cloak
feds have more hp
thus in a 1v1 or 2v2 situation feds should win paring all other things being = (player skill, level, equipment in order of importance)
Actually with the higher turn rate, BoPs are generally better. 25% more hull around and same shields vs turn rate BoPs are better as a team, but 1v1 theyre easy enough to kill. That and FA camping makes cannon gear a pain to get for feds. And before you suggest beams... they barely hurt in T1.
T2 is leaned toward fed, but it doesnt help if people suck with cruisers and sci ships. If they use them properly, they have a strong advantage.
Have you played against me? I'm the reason my team wins. Plus, its absolutely hilarious when you run off and cloak and 4 torps are headed up your butt and BOOM the invisible ship goes bye bye.
No one should ever go 100 weapons. Thanks klinks in trying to convince people to die.
If you aren't being attacked you might as well be 80-100% weapons, if you are waiting for klingons to decloak just stay at 50% weapons. Shield energy doesn't really help survivability that much anyway, it's mostly just for recharging your shields faster. I have been in beta since the beginning of October so i have had a lot of time to play around with energy levels and find what works for different situations.
I stay 100% weapons while being attacked by one person. If i get attacked by two people i jam sensor one and then once that expires I full Engines + evasive then come back after. If i get attacked by more then two people I go full engine + evasive get out of there and then come back. I go full shield to recharge my shield when not under attack, full aux to repair the hull. Going full shield while not under attack or under attack by one person is a waste. You are much better off trying to kill them first then to try to extend your life by a few second with the shield recharge you get from full shield.
As for running off, i go full engine + evasive and then i get 15-20km away. Even if the torps eventually hit me they do 0 damage and i cloak up and come back in.
2. With a 5 person premade group using team voice we are getting badly beaten by Fed groups consisting of 2-3 Cruisers, 1-2 Science, and 1-2 Escorts. There are just too many Fed points to kil. Mines everywhere.
3. We go after the escorts. Feds team heal/buff the escorts. We kill 1-2 escorts and Feds kill 2-3 Klinks. We eventualy lose.
4. My group insists on being very aggressive, not waiting for feds to make mistakes or split up. Personally I'd wait 5 minutes before doing squat, but that makes for a long battle and fewer of them.
Flying into the Fedball is suicide. I try to stay at least 5km from my target. Flying a Raptor gives me a few more hitpoints, but with no battle cloak my escape is to turn away, go full power to engines, and punch evasive maneuvers and hope to outrun the Feds. Cloak only after all the incoming torps have run their course. I've escaped with 5% and less remaining more than once.
After cloaking turn power to shields to get them recharged and turn back toward the Fedball.

it get worse
once in t3 any beyond for kligons and t2 and on for feds
as a cruiser in both sides i keep my power in weapons all the time
cruisers if set up witht he right bo skills are massive tanks and should be using beams thus you need the power in wepaons to sustain your beams but i runtily tank any ship in the game 1v1 at the same tier as fed or kligon the othere ship simple cant do enuph dmg to hurt me wither its an escort or not
as for larger engaments if i have a second cruiser also propler set up to tank we can make one another tank 2-3 people indefinatly and if theres a 3rd we can make a any one of use tank all 5 of the other side while still having all power to weapons and doing signifigant amounts of dmage it may take use longer to kill then if we where in escorts but we dont die so that dosnt matter

I'm going to say this once, and klinks are going to hate it... Mines. They really hate mines. So much that they'll just sit there like little cloaked girls because they can't "coordinate" properly. The difference in winning and losing isn't much people. No need to waste 30 minutes on a match.
I make feds wait far longer than 30 minutes if they just sit like *****es in a mine ball with auto fire on. When science vessels and cruisers have full reset buttons for shields and hull, I laugh my ass off any time a fed complains that klingons can fly away and cloak.
No, once you get to tier 3, where I am as Klingon, it's even more overpowered for Klingon than it was before. Once you get stealth cruisers fed can simply never win unless the Klingons are bad. Judging by the level of denial in here, most of the people who defend the Klingon race as not being OP are terrible at this game. Please just ignore fools that have Klingon in their signature like Meat Moutain or whatver his name is.
They have no concept of what balances this game, only bias.
Ok, here's my 2 cents worth from my experience so far in Tier 1 and Tier 2 from BoP POV.
Tier1 seemed relatively balanced, I could go one -vs- one with a Fed ship and hold my own, sometimes winning, sometimes not, thus fairly well balanced.
Then, finally I make it to Tier 2, even after upgrading all weapons to M4s, I seem to be way outgunned.
I seem to end up in a lot of 2 v 2 battles. In Tier 1, it was again roughly 50/50 win/lose.
In Tier 2, 1 v 1 or 2 v 2, the Feds have always come out winning. I had a battle with another BoP and myself against a Fed, the Fed relatively easily took out both of us, and we'd barley even scratched the Feds paint. So, even in 2 to 1, the Feds come out ahead(in Tier2).
I've seen posts from Feds that the Fed ball is boring. Well, it's because in an even battle, we lose. We have to wait for the strays, that we can jump on in greater numbers, because it's our only chance at winning.
So, either our Klingon ships needed bumped up in Tier 2, or the Feds need nerf'd a little.
Tier 2 is way noticeably tilted in the Feds favor, IMHO....
The beginning of T2 was rough on us -DRS- as well, but after we got a few more skills, and some better gear, by the end of T2 we were totally destroying the Feds. Don't give up, keep fighting and work as a team. If you're PUGing, don't expect to win much. It's the organized groups on voice, calling targets and being able to ask for hull and shield heals are the ones who will win 90% of the time. And that goes equal for both the Fed side and the Klingon one. We all have access to the same skills. The BoP can be a deadly ship once you get the other stuff worked out. All those universal Officer slots can make yourself great, if you train the right skills, and use them properly with an organized team.
