Is there any where in game that I can check my character (or other characters') starting traits that was chosen?

It does not seem so at the moment. This was available in OB just as it is with your BO's, however something must have gotten tweaked when Cryptic was patching. I know a few people have submitted bug reports over it, so hopefully it is fixed in the next patch.

Actually, you can see them on your character sheet under Stats. The catch is you have to be on the ground. You can't see them in space.

I figure its a bug.
