Devs have already said they're going to buff up beam overload AND fire at will. So they agree that it isn't balanced at all.

Okay, correct me if im wrong, but rapid fire is a set durration, right? And affects all cannons? And doesnt set your power level to 0?

Beam skills are underpowered right now since they were balanced around volley-fire, but they were nerfed to only affect one gun. (The same applies to Scatter Volley).

Like you could come round and hit with 3 arrays all on fire at will for glorious damage.

Devs already stated that they will be getting a balance pass.
