my fleet just hit tier 3 on spire and I shelled out my 5 fleet modules to get the fleet atrox carrier. now I am at my fleet starbase and i still cannot purchase the elite stalker fighters. Is this intended? do i have to own the c-store version of this vessel? if so, that's really stupid, I just paid $25 to unlock this ship...

Sadly you do need to buy the c store version to unlock the elite hangar bays. You wouldn't think this would be a requirement. Klingon ship having the same issue. So it isn't just the Atrox. I think it's rather lame myself especially as there's no indication that you must meet this requirement.

Its a requirement for 2 reasons, first the Stalkers are the Atrox unique pets and second, only the Atrox can launch Stalkers anyway so the system is preventing anyone from buying pets that they cannot use.

Of course they could unlock with looking at Fleet Atrox Carrier but there are a lot of omissions on the system, like the Jem'Hadar Fighter pets that cannot be used in Romulan ships since neither the Scimitar or Carrier Warbird are listed but Flight Deck and Escort Carriers are.

Apparently the Fleet Vo'quv also fails to unlock Qaw'dun BoP hangars if you have neither the regular Vo'quv nor the Mirror one. Fortunately Mirror Vo'quvs are cheap enough.

Back when the first fleet bases hit Science V, we discovered that some JHAS/JHDC owners couldn't buy Elite JHAS pets and some Recluse owners couldn't buy Elite Weavers (some could, though, it seemed pretty random). Customer Service gave the usual "dismiss and reclaim" reply and you can image how well that went over, but a few patches later it was fixed.

So keep reminding them about these bugs, they can be fixed, just submit bug reports and post threads like this in the bug section.

It's a requirement for one single reason. It was an oversight by cryptic not to have those pets unlock with the purchase of a fleet versions and they're a) too inept to fix it, or b) have decided there is no money in it, putting a fix off indefinately.

It is Working as Intended. Every C-Store ship that has a Fleet version has a console that can be transferred to the Fleet ship. The Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit doesn't include the Cloaking device unless you purchase the Tactical Escort Retrofit. The Fleet Exploration Cruiser Retrofit doesn't include the Saucer Separation unless you purchase the Exploration Cruiser Retrofit. The Fleet Advanced Escort doesn't have MVAM unless you purchase the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort. The Stalkers are the Atrox's console since it has nothing else. If Fleet Atrox Carriers gave away the Stalker for free, then the Atrox would be worthless due to the Fleet Atrox being so much better than it and cause numerous players that purchased the Atrox to be ticked off. So if you want the Stalkers, then purchase the Atrox from the C-Store.

If a Fleet D'Kyr is ever released, then the Support Craft will be missing and you need to purchase the D'Kyr from the C-Store.

Its difficult to believe this is working as intended. For one thing, the description on the Fleet Kar'fi states clearly: "The Kar'fi is the only carrier that can also launch the Fer'jai frigates." There is absolutely no reference to having to purchase a standard "c-store" Kar'fi to make this possible. The same would apply to the Atrox and the Fleet Atrox applied fighters.

Also, the Fleet Kar'fi comes with 2 standard S'Kul fighters, however, if you attempt to BUY the same fighters of the same level from the vendor for 4K ec, the game still insists that the Kar'fi carrier is not owned and therefor, the fighters cannot be bought.

I would bet that the Fleet Atrox has the same issue.

As far as I can see, PWE has never made any public statement or written in any game description any pre-requirements such as 'upgrades only' in order to purchase what the game, as well as the wiki, states are standard equipment for those ship types.

As far as the consoles go, if that's a c-store only item then so be it, as long as its clearly stated. I for one don't really care about the console, however, the pets are obviously very important to that ship type.

Again, I cant imagine that anyone, even PWE, would do something so cheeseball as to deny access to something that's clearly advertised in the ship description. Doing so would just piss off even more of their customer base, forcing someone that's been waiting for months to buy a fleet version at full price to now have to buy it all over again just to equip hangar items.

Sadly.... this game IS run by PWE however, so no one really knows until they actually make some sort of official statement.

Jup, same thing with the Fleet Atrox. It comes with rare Stalkers equipped, but you can't purchase more of them through the EC vendor.

Not quite right. There are exceptions like the B'rel and the Excelsior. Neither of them has a console, thus their fleet version is a full one. However, instead their fleet variants are more expensive: Instead of 4 FSM, they cost 5. Just like the Fleet Atrox, which should in return also provide full functionality like the ability to buy the pets.
