I would like a version of this ship equal to the scimitar in power

2 defint pets Frigates to match the scimitars drones

battlecloak like the scimitar intergrated like the scimitar

CD on the lance droped to 30 seconds

+10 power to weapons and engines

shield mod of 1.5 shields were always the Feds strongpoint

And a console that boosts phaser damage but restriced to ships in the fed line that need a dps bost mainly cruisers

it should be a new ship that has to be bought at the c store

power wise there is no reason to buy the current ship in its weak form better off going romulan wth a scimitar its like 3s as powerful or more

I am continually encouraged by the amount of players that support this ship as well as the general Galaxy class. However for two years now we have been told a saucer sep version is on the way, for two years they have released nothing and said almost as much.

By all means keep up the pressure, but for now there is only one build that this ship can do better than any other, and that's the delcoak/jump/lance/BO manoeuvre, when set up right it's almost a guaranteed kill even on the most experienced pvpers who know the ship is present in the arena or Kerrat environment.

Running the dread with a double A2B is good fun but can be done better with just about any other tac cruiser.

Unless something miraculous happens this is what we have and all we are going to get, by all means keep up the pressure as will I, perhaps eventually they will get the message.

To be blunt i could live with every single problem the Galaxy X has if they just cut the Cmdr Engineering Boff Slot down to Lt Cmdr and upgrade the Lt Tactical to Lt Cmdr. Or maybe even a Cmdr Tactical; it's a Warship, after all. When i reach 50 and unpack my Dreadnought i know full well that i have way better ships at my disposal, but i love the ship and want to use it. And i do, but i'd really like to do something else than an insanely expensive a2b Marion build that needs uberpowerful gear and perfect skill points spent to do AVERAGE damage and maybe break 10k if we're lucky while the 40k dps club seems to be Scimitar-exclusive and the Avenger gets everything we want for the Galaxy X. What makes it worse is this seemingly complete lack of interest on Cryptic's part. I mean look at this forum, it's full of Galaxy X-threads and there's not a single response, what the hell? People are yelling at them to let them take their money for an improved ship and all we get is a two year old screenshot of a long promised, never seen Fleet Galaxy X that comes with a feature nobody really wants that would not fix anything - and probably would require a Galaxy R for the Seperation Console anyway.


(my current Engineer main pilots a Dreadnought A2B Heavy Tank without Marion, but at least she's using three purple Technicians. She tanks like a mother****er and can take hell unless the Borg start trolling her with invisible High Yield Plasma Torpedos, but i have never, not once, managed to break 7k dps.)

Tried the whole decloak/jump/lance thing numerous times. Severely hampered by the fact that the lance misses 90% of the time.

Heck, I recall taking mine into an instance of HOSE - parked right next to a unimatrix ship - literally all of about 2 or 3km away from it - and the useless piece of junk STILL missed. Let's just review that statement for one moment: The lance missed the largest single ship (not counting the Voth Fortress) in the game whilst parked (non-moving) right next to it.

based on this (forgot about how often it misses), update to my earlier post, leave lance damage and cool down as is but give it a [acc]x3 modifier.

There is quite a specific build to get this right, I spent 6 months testing and another year refining (and I'm still doing it) but it never misses an NPC and doesn't miss players very often unless they are buffed with Emp2E, APO or evasive. Here's a few kills from my lance list which I used to keep whilst developing the build, I no longer add to it but in general the situation has improved with items like the Nukara console for another 10% acc.

To give you an idea of the firepower, it will take down a Tac cube in Kerrat (334,000) in 9 seconds (noted by the ten second PDS still having a second left to run) most of the time, and as yet I only have 3 exploiters, will be adding the locators soon for more CrtH.

The following was from a couple of evenings in Kerrat, I only recorded lance shots that resulted in a kill.

Note for those of you reading that do not know how the lance works, it fires twice with the same amount of damage, so every one of the hits below needs to be doubled on raw damage (number in the brackets, the number outside the brackets is the damage taken by the target when resistances are calculated)

[Universal Console: Advanced Federation Universe Computer Core]



Advanced Federation Computer Core
Built especially for the Federation Dreadnought Cruiser, the Universe Computer Core is the most advanced computer core to date. Due in part to the large number of mothalled galaxy class starships and her sister ship the dreadnought, the Federation has put forth the plans to retrofit all ships for the inevitable war that will come when the Iconians return.

This computer core powers not only all ship power levels, but it also gives a passive to all energy weapons and their accuracy and all projectile weapons and their accuracy. It also strengthens hull hit points, hull repair, shield hit points and shield regeneration.

Equipped to a Exploration Cruiser gives an advanced bonus as well. When saucer seperation is activated, all negtive power stats (other than crew) are negated and gives all bridge officer abilities 3 seconds less on their cool down during saucer seperation. Saucer seperation cooldown is also decreased to 2 minutes instead of 3.

For a dreadnought cruiser, the Spinal Phaser Lance as its accuracy tripled, damage modified by 1.5 and a 2 minute cooldown on the firing capability.

The one flaw though is that it is disabled when a viral matrix attack occurs, causing it to temporarily shut down all power levels for 5 seconds. Afterward, all passives are disabled until the ship is outside of battle for a suitable time to repair the core.

+0.9 to all power levels
+6.7 to structural integrity
+6.7 to hull repair
+6.7 to shield systems
+3.5% shield regeneration
+6.7 to starship energy weapons
+6.7 to starship projectile weapons
+2.5% energy weapons accuracy
+2.5% projectile weapons accuracy

Vulnerability to Viral Matrix 1, 2, and 3
Shuts down all power levels for five seconds and disables passives for until fifteen seconds out of combat have passed. Engineering team can restore power levels, but it cannot remove the disable from the passives.

For Exploration Cruiser Retrofits and the Fleet counterpart:
Negate all negative stats during sauer seperation (except for crew count)
Decrease Bridge Officer ability cooldown by three seconds
Decrease Saucer Seperation by 1 minute

For Dreadnought Cruisers and Fleet Dreadnought Cruisers:
Accuracy of Phaser Lance x3
Damage of Phaser Lance x1.5
Phaser Lance Cooldown reduced by 1 minute

Interesting idea. My comment would be that I don't want to have to gain a slot with battle cloak built in only to lose it to another console just to improve the lance, the lance needs improving anyway, the other features are fun and I like the idea of the vulnerability to VM, good work.

Is there a skilltree/gearsheet of the Sir Lance Alot floating around? ^^ I'm looking into what to do with my newest Tac. Originally i wanted to find a way - any way - to use it as a torpedo plattform, no matter how low the dps, but in the end i came to the realization that, unless i drop Attack Pattern Beta, i'd be stuck on Torpedo Spread ONE, at which point i might as well not use TS at all currently i'm thinking "Romulan A2B Beamboat w. Kinetic Cat Beam and Rom. Plasma Torp" since my attempt to circumvent that problem ran into the Transphasic Cluster Torpedo's cooldown cockblock-problem.
