Short term:
- The ability when you /logout ... to take you to the character selection screen instead of the account login screen
- The ability to chose more than the standard race for your infected borg ... I'm sure there are more than just Humans and Klingons in the ranks of the borg ... I'm just sayin.
- Talent Changes, I love the fact that I have a skill bases system at all, though one thought I might add to make leveling a little more interesting would be to seperate space and ground talents, you only get xp for space by doing space questions and missions and vice versa, though as ground is so lacking compared to space make it so you need less ground xp than space, along these lines if you're a Lt Commander 3 in space and Lt Commander 2 on ground you're still just Lt Commander 2

Mid Term:
- Improving ground combat, at lower levels this ground combat in my opinion is lacking a lot in the way of "fun"
- Right now as I sent to "Load characters" to reslove log in issue hehe.
- Why are "Patrol" quests only a one time thing, why can't they be daily quests and just receive less xp or rewards for doing them a second time. I tried to do a patrol with a friend I was playing with at work and he wasn't able to share like with other quests. Name it "Ongoing Security Patrol" or something to let people know this is less xp and reward but repeatable ... maybe mark award only instead to make them worth doing.

Long Term:
- The ability instead of just visiting my bridge to visit my entire ship if not just like my captains quarters and ready room. The ability to walk to engineer to run an engine diagnostic ... I would love to just walk my halls and have my crew salute as I walk by or at least say good "morning, afternoon or evening" to me .... I really want a game I can RP in to be honest I feel the game while fun and space is amzing is lacking in Imersion ... and I'm not really a die hard Star Trek RP'er. I just want to feel like I'm in Star Trek I guess rather than just playing another run of the mill MMO.
- More ships, More ships and MORE SHIPS! I understand that the lower tiers are lesser technology but why can't some things like the way it looks be imprted if you have purchased the ship, For example flying a Tier 4 cruiser could use some of the body styles from the Tier 3 and so on.
- This is honestly a short term but *shrug* A lot more robust Exchange with some serious options to sort.

*removed rant that was here on overpriced exchange items*

All in all I love the game, <3 Scifi games over fantasy. Though right now other than space there isn't anything else keeping me once Star Wars comes out maybe in a year and if they have fantastic space that will be where I spend my money (even though mine here is already spent lol .... lifetime subscription just to play borg down the drain.)

Short:

More starship weapons to chose from at the borg front i.e plas/dis/phas cannons/beams etc.

More missions after reaching RA5, infected/cure and exploration badge dailies are far from enough.

Option to use your crew in any mission you like, in the infected/cure aswell.

The whole bring your crew thing was a huge attraction for me to join this game, barely any missions of that kind besides the explore missions once you hit RA5, which imo sucks. This is one of the reasons after hitting RA5 that makes me think about skipping this game. 5 man player teams doesnt fit in this game like it does in other games, the mechanics are just too different. No taunts or any effective threat, no good assist function. Na I deffinently prefer my away team or maybe grouping with a friend and picking a few crew each, thats the cool thing with this game really. Let the people chose if they wanna run with 5 players or anywhere in between, with crewmen if they like.

Better healing mechanic on ground and space. Works decent on ground, but the whole auto retargetting of enemies when you try to heal a friend is getting really old, tried to find an option to turn it of as I managed to do on ground, but couldnt find it. Maybe its there and I just havnt found it.

Midterm:

Many, many more fleet actions, I'm still suprised why you have even done infected/cure into 5 mans, its far fromt he same epic fun that fleet actions are. Task force missions should be optional 5 player, or just a hard mission for you and the crew.

PvP sector space, more than 1 zone imo, with cappable systems where you can build bases and such (not just for fleets), people could contribute credits or something to bolster the defense or to be able to build better structures. With both space and ground pvp needed for the other side to cap them.

PvP "BGs", epic ones for ground, (big dig/breaking the planet style for pvp)

Longterm:

Deeper character progression, personal missions that form your character, giving impact on the universe (good or bad).
More combat oriented abilities for all 3 professions, maybe mixed kits instead of pure medic kits etc. Maybe a sci kit with hot, dot, tricorder and the dot instead of medics heal nano.
More sector space areas, bigger, much bgger map.

Those are my ideas. So far this game has been a blast up until RA5, which lacks more than what can fit in a post. I will keep my game live for a while atleast and be glad I didnt lifetime subscribe directly. If more things happen where I can bring my lovely crew I will probably stick around, if not, I'm pretty sure I'll just stick to my other game 100%. In the end, if I want to play a game with 5 man groups I can play ********, if I want a kickass game where I design part of the members in my group, I'll hopefully play this, if changes are made.

In the short term game stability has to be job one. Being locked out of a game you're paying to play is irritating. Also, work on the mechanism
In the mid term I'd like to see more diverse episodes
In the long term more diverse ways of upgrading the ships.

i would like to be able to PLAY THE FRIGGIN GAME... maps wont load, i cant even log out, have to go into my task manager and turn off the process. weak. whatever problems cryptic is having needs to be solved BEFORE the weekend, cuz that's the only time me and my bros have to play and i'm an impatient customer who will only put up w/this nonsense ONCE.

Exactly! This is the only thing they should be working on. I have been stuck at the earth space dock for several hours unable to leave. Just freezes up in the load screen then crash to log in. The getting kicked to log in, server not responding, log in issues, ect. are all major problems they need to fix. Who cares about new content if players cant log in and experience them.

1. Two hours of space flight to an hour or less of ground (to start)
2. More dynamic use of programming. example. (I would like to see more re-using of graphics even though that is deceptive to speed up content. The warp core graphic is already there. Then maybe the player would be able to explore and defend the inside of their ship in ground mode. Enemies transporting aboard the enterprise was a common occurrence in the movies and on the 30 year star trek franchise altogether.)
3. Keep up the content development, but in the right direction (space) and enlarge the environment instead of shoving it all in a small B'Tran cluster. Be dynamic in variety, because variety is key in anything a person does in life.


As a final comment, I don't encourage the elimination of ground at all in star trek, but a more balanced approach should be taken when trying to create content. Ground should never take precedent over space and vice a versa, but in the current condition of STO, you just have to work with what you have and flex the right areas in the right directions.

Short Term:
I would like to see more factions namely the Cardasians and Romulans with their own interests and not aligned to the Klingons or the federation opening the way to 4 on 4 factions.
More PvP space and ground maps with different objectives other than capture and hold.

Mid term:More incentive for group and fleet actions with better rewards and loot for grouping or involving your fleet in an exercise.
Fleet faction and personal faction standings with your alliance this could culminate into larger badge and mark rewards.
More dynamic exploration and crafting for all factions.

Long Term:
MORE places to go! More aliens to meet! To boldly go where no man has gone before.
Fleet owned stations perhaps.
Open PvP regions.
And a whole lot more…

Can't thik of a lot I'd like to see, I'm just enjoying the game for the time being.

Short Term
- Like to see more of the ship classes, there's so many to choose from. Excelsior, Nebula,
- longer delay before an officer informs me I've accomplished a goal, especially in space. I've been destroyed by a ship blowing up because my bridge officer told me we defeated the last fleet and there's an incoming message from the ship or facility I was defending. I've used evasive manuevers to get away from an explosion, this message stops all movement, yet incoming fire and enemies still have the right of way. This really works out badly if there's a death penalty.
- Item variation. There's only so much variation in many of the Uncommon, Rare and so on. Weapons tend to have three bonuses I can think of: Crit Chance Increase, Crit Severity Increase, and Accuracy increase. Each different type of weapon has a different damage effect, Plasma, more damage over time. Pahser, disable a subsystem, etc. What about instead of stacking a double Crit Severit on a Rare plasma bank, it had a Crit Severity AND the 2.5% chance to disable a system. Or even just more variation in the ablities. All the differernt weapon types in the same MK do the exact same amounts of damage, (just in case some one else hadn't noticed yet) but just a few special variations to spice things up. Granted, it makes your skill selection that much more important, I just want to see some different toys to play with.

Mid Term
- quite possibly navigating the ship whie in transit, from the bridge. Not while in a mission, jut when flying around the sector blocks. watching things through the viewscreen.
- how about when you go to dock at the station, you actually get to fly INTO the station, same with leaving. I probably want to much detail, but I think that would be cool.
- Instead of always having to move up to the next tier of ship, what about being able to swing upgrades for your old ship. I really liked the look of my heavy escort, and was dissapoited that in order to retain combt effectiveness, I had to upgrade to a Defiant class. Sure, the tech is more advanced on a Defiant, but then there are always upgrade programs to keep older ships in service longer. I think I even spotted some MIranda class vessels in The Next Generation and in DS9, ther was a battle where two Mirandas were running shotgun alongside the Defiant on the battle to get back to the station, sadly, both were lost on the run through, but it was such a cool thing to see. Light cruisers escorting the smaller escort, how ironic!

Long Term
- Veteran rewards. Based on how long you've had an active account. I had them in one game I played for over seven years. If I deactivated my account for 6 months, that didn't add onto my total game time. But it was cool every year or so, to be able to pick a new special item based on how long my account had been active.

Mid-term requests

Add random missions that show up while you're in route to somewhere... like happened so often in the tv series (e.g. Holodeck malfunction, 2D life forms, temporal causality loop, answering distress calls, derelict spacecraft, something species specific happens with your bridge officers [which could add some fun storyline to your bridge officers]). Rewards could vary from the normal thing too (like if its a mission that is specific for a bridge officer, make they can be trained in a skill or find a unique console if you search a derelict space craft.


Long-term requests

Exploration mission overhaul... this seriously deserves special attention, it's kind of the whole point of the tv show in the first place - everything I describe here could work for Klingons too (just need dialogue/flavor tweaks from Fed versions):
a. Make the exploration zones work more like the instances of defense sector zones (which have random enemies pre-populated when you zone in and are on a timer to reset. Instead of packs of ships though, there should be randomly generated Systems you can fly to which will be shuffled and reset on a timer.
b. No more of this drawing a line to an anomaly... actually have things that look like stars or points of interest you can fly to.
c. Have the thing your flying to mean something as well (e.g. a yellow star might mean a higher likelihood of getting a planet with life on it, red star might be more likely to get a mission with asteroids, etc.)
d. Explorations should still be random, but each should be designed so that a bridge officer's maxed out ability can counter it completely to finish it early. And there should be one variation for every bridge officer ability in the game (all tiers, both space and ground). So the variation designed for Jam Targeting Sensors might be a mission where you warp into the system and find that an ancient alien defense mechanism activates; the normal mission would be to disable to turrets in the system and then access the strange computer that is preventing you from warping away. However if you have a Bridge Officer with Jam Targeting Sensors maxed out you bypass the mission and finish right away. Ground missions should have two abilities that will shortcut the missions (since the ability would be to present among those in your away team)
e. Also some of the missions you can get should be designed to want a bridge officer (or captain) to be a specific species for a diplomatic outcome to bypass the normal mission... or a specific ship class.. lots of possibilities.
f. Make it a rare occurrence, but make exploration missions have the possibility to reward a bound, random level-appropriate unique item or a unique bridge officer candidate.
g. Also have all exploration missions have a secondary ability associated with it for quick completion (just like the designed in one), but make the secondary one have something like a 5% chance of being available when you warp in.
g. Add captain abilities related to exploration missions that add to your percentage chance of the secondary ability working; so for example "Exploration Captain" skill would add 5% chance for each level (up to 9).
h. Add a 10% chance to the secondary ability working you're captaining an Exploration Cruiser.
