First off, I want to play "this" game. And I did. But I have since stopped. Not because I quit liking StarTrek. Ill be frank because i do want a great StarTrek based MMO. I do care. Your space game is close, and with some tweaks could be really good. That was not my reason for quitting. Space, is like the fuel that allows me to ride my bike to Vegas. Granted, its a blast, and i have some exciting thing that happen along the way. But im going to VEGAS BABY! You guys never gave me Vegas. The casinos were empty, and it wasnt nearly as big as it looked on TV. Recommendation: Reconstruct you ground game. Flesh out your worlds, and give them some "life". What you should have is a perfect mix of a FPS shooter with the stats and special abilities that an MMO offers players for complexity and variety. Flesh out your worlds. I want to feel like ive landed on a planet, not three mile island. They dont have to be "WOW" big, but you need to work toward that illusion. Well, I've spent considerable time thinking about what would make a wonderful StarTrek MMO several years before i heard it was in the works. If you guys need some help, which you do, my head is full of hours of details i would be happy to boar you with.

Short Term:
No Grids and Sticks. Supply us with the option to turn off the Sector Space ground grid and/or planet sticks. For those that want it, leave it on and for those that don't can turn it off. I would like to be able to look down and see the stars and not some grid. I know "Sector Space" is supposed to be an astrometrics view but everything feels too small.

Mid Term:
Second star to the right and on till morning. Give us endless deep space that we can explore and discover. Make it a much larger scale than the explored areas of current Sector Space.
Give star systems multiple planets to choose from. If I want to send probes into a Class 9 gas giant I should be able to do so.
Give ground missions multiple beam down locations. If I want to explore an island chain in the middle of an ocean or a large continent in the northern hemisphere I should be able to do so.

Long Term:
Make space bigger. Currently the distance between Sol System and Vulcan System is 5.97 light years. It was referenced to be 16 light years apart in the Enterprise TV series. Spread things out a little to give space a bigger feel to it. This may not be feasible at this point so I defer to Short Term and Mid Term again.

Long Term
I would love be able to enter any system weather I have a quest or not I would like to be able to mine for things I need for my ship and for memory alfa. I would like to able to buy a little piece of a planet and set up a home base and be able to defend that base. I would like to be able to beam down to any breathable planet to explore it . I would like to get rid of the grids and have systems above and blow me . I would like to engage my enimies in any space not just in pvp areas . I would like to see a lot bigger space to explore with alot more systems,space stations and planets to see. I have to say I like this game and its a great start and thank you in advance for reading this.

Didn't see anywhere else to post this...so here she goes:

Short term: When Season 2 comes out with the Ship Interiors, please see that there are more than one deck to start with...maybe not all, but at least two or three. And when going from room to room, don't forget the doors and NO instancing..Instancing is OK when moving from one deck to another...maybe a Turbo Lift loading screen. I could deal with that.

Mid- Term: On the Bridge, it would be nice to sit in either Sector Space, or in another location and see the CURRENT outside on the view screen.

Long Term: What would be great is if you coild be inside the ship for either space missions, or have missions that are accomplished and designed for inside the ship. Make some of this stiff functional, and allow us to bring friends onboard. Maybe have group missions inside the ship for some space missions. Friends and freet mates acting crew parts for each other would give realism a major boost.

I'm not gonna hoot and fart about how you "failed to capture the majestic beauty/realism/size/feel/look of an entire galaxy and all the planets in it" blah blah blah blah. Horse cookies, it's a game, one can't expect a game to replicate, with any degree of realism, space. I'm talking purely from an MMO perspective, and what any MMO needs in some shape or form.

Short term:

Get all the people planning the fancy new ship skins off their asses and start planning serious end game content for continued playability.

Mid-term:

Start making previously mentioned serious end game content for continued playability.

Long term:

Serious end game content so end game players have something to do. I don't mean "give me another ship to destroy!" or "give me another fleet action to go to!" No one plays MMO's for the missions/quests, people play it to be/have the best, it's an ego thing. You need to have items you can't sell on the exchange, Bind on Pick up items that are REALLY hard to get so people keep playing to fight to get all their "best in slot" items, and make it so the only fleet actions you can get them from are ones in which you have to get a group of people together to even START the fleet action. The whole "public dungeon" feel of your current fleet actions are nice and all, but they promote segregation. You don't NEED anyone else to play the game, which defeats the purpose of it being an MMO at all! if you have 20 people who each want twenty items, and only one item drops when you complete the fleet action, you'll have at least 19 other people ready, and often excited, to do it again once it's available. MAKE PEOPLE NEED ONE ANOTHER! A terrible MMO is one that you can solo.

I really like this game, it has a tonne of potential. Don't skip out on endgame content for fancy bells and whistles like ship skins and Pakleds... I mean honestly... Pakleds!?!!?!! Who sat down, looked at this (very promising) VERY unfinished game, and said "Hmmm... what's the one thing we need that will make this game perfect.... I know! Pakleds!!

Just to add to the logos, if smaller house or squad logos can be added to the neck/saucer sections of the ships. I believe this would add a sense of ownership and belonging to the differents factions. Imagine entering a battle (PvP or Fleet) and seeing your hated enemy fleet with your arch nemises across the field of battle. Cool right?

I realize that this could be quite impossible but if you want the best MMO ever all you have to do is make the worlds like World of ******** and the space like EVE and you would have the best game ever thats all you have to do lol

The klingon BOP is designed to land on planets I was thinking that it would be really interesting if the planets in STO where larger to accomedate a flythrew atmosphere that would only try to render itself when you fly into it. This would make room for alot of options some interesting ones being shuttlecraft missions, space jump missions, new pvp types, crashing into a planet would mean death instead of bouncing....Think back to the STNG episode redemption 2 where captain kern outnumbered killed the 2 BOP's by useing his thrusters to stir up a solar flare with what could be the atmosphere of a star in STO with that being said i would also like to see things i can fly near with my ship that have propertys in the game for example blackholes and their gravity, stars with their heat, supernovas and their hurling of stellar matter this should be fun for both sides not just in story missions but space exploration
