Short Term:

taskforce of devs, which have nothing else to do than bug hunting and fixing

Mid Term:

let compose some additional game music recorded by an orchestra. When I am in the map I want to feel that I am on travel, just on a diplomatic mission, back home or in a hazard engagment (winning, battel starts, running critical, lossing, incomming, reinforcements , "Could be a trap", nice/bad/foggy planet). Also some theme music for/against Klinkons, Romulans, Remans, Cartassians and so on will do to improve game experience. It is important that it is unique music, not a bad copy or somethin like that.

Add some game voice to the npc.


Long Term

When I am remebering right we should feel like beeing in the tv series. For the main episods add some animated intro and sequences , that explain why parts of my crew already engaged and waiting for me on the planet or so. Might be also an improvement if you just read out missiontext


It is fine that we can use everytime the same BOs but for PVE it would be nice sometimes BO xy is just not available becaue he is in sickbay, on holiday, stuff like that, so that we must make personal changes.

Add background story to the BOs which I can search out when I am on the bridge or so. Could be also a system to increase little their abilitys, that they like to be part of my crew or want to leave

Short Term:
* Allow players to see where other players are on a Fleet Action Map (ground and space), no matter the distance.
* Face the ship in the proper direction when zoning in (too many times do I cross a zone and end up facing the opposite direction when I enter the new sector block).
* Allow players to place decals on their ships (from a predefined pool, of course, similar to the Tattoos available for players).
* Fix it to where players on a team all enter the same instance (I'm sure this is just a bug).

Mid Term:
* Add in a few different Science and Engineering 'mini-games', similar to the Scanning of Anomalies, then expand upon the Sci/Eng stuff in missions:
- After the Engineering games are in place, retrofit the 'Exploration' of derelict bases and have the players fix the base up.
- Introduce some more science themed missions, similar to the the Diplomatic Mission where the player needs to create an antigen.
- Once these Sci/Eng Missions and mini-games are in place, give slightly more weight to the types of random encounters when Exploring. Science Officers should have a higher chance of getting science related missions, Engineers with engineering mission, and Tactical with more combat-focused.

* Allow players the choice of continuing with the ship they have, but opting to upgrade it to the next Tier.

* Add Trade as a new side Progression (see: Diplomat).
- Limit the number of Provisions one can carry based on the Cargo Hold (which can be upgraded) of the ship.
- Improve the current Provisions missions a bit (make it a bit more personable).
- Add inn new Trade Negotiation missions.
- Add in perks for ranking up as a Trader (such as Ferengi trade emblems as ship decals, etc)

* Ship Interiors:
- Place Mail, Bank and Exchange access within the ship interiors.
- Allow the player to purchase an upgrade at Memory Alpha which allows the player to then perform Research from the Engineering Bay.
- Allow the players to assign the 'primary' location of their crew (eg: BO1 in Med Bay, BO2 in Engineering, BO3 on Bridge, etc.)
- Allow Sci Officer to heal crew members, or allow the purchase of a Medical Hologram (possibly tailored by the player) which can then heal the crew.
- Add in missions that can take place entirely within the ship's interiors.
- Add in missions that require the player to beam up to their ship to use some of the above functions (MedBay, Eng, etc) to complete a task and then beam back down to the planet.
- Add Cargo Bays to the ship's interiors and use that as a place where various Provisions are stored.
- Add Transporter Room to ship's interior and use that as a point of origin when beaming into the ship to perform tasks during a mission (also allow players to beam out from there).
- Add a Ten Forward to the ship's interiors, which also has a person who sells foods/drinks and has random, sometimes fantastical tales of the universe.
- Add in a Holodeck which would initially allow players to Replay Missions. Eventually (long term) add in the ability to 'custom tailor' a map for either Space/Ground combat (eg: Map 123 vs Gorn Ships objective: Defend Sector).

Long Term:
* Create content for the Klingon Faction that is on par with the Federation content (story, crafting, etc).
* Once Klingon faction is on par, work on a third faction, such as Romulan, can begin.


*** Any time I mention purchase, I mean in-game purchase, not that C-Store charade.

Short Term:
* More melee weapons, they seem to be there, just need some stats and be accesible
* fix the annoying pvp queue bugs
* balance ground weapons more, it looks like its all about sniper in pvp now, pistols and melee weapons seem to be uterly useless at all sometimes (though they do have their uses)

Med Term:
* more interactive stuff on the bridges (like some poker stuff i heard will come?)
* maybe possible to do duels, maybe as a special zone on the crew deck so they wont do it everywhere, maybe as another minigame? bat'leth duels for klingons!
* an autodecloak if you want to use your weapons so you dont have to press the button extra, maybe as gameplay option (if players dont want that so they are not accidently dropping stealth/cloak

Long Term:
* along with bridges a planetside housing would be interesintg, maybe as fleet zones: like player owned stations or estates on the grounds
* more bugfixing ... and
* get rid of all the bugs! yeah i have no ideas :x

Please introduce: Lethean, Ferengi, Vulcan, Orion, Nausicaan, Gorn Ships etc..

Key point each ship should be unique with strengths and weaknesses as well should have unique technology. Reason being strategy and tactics becomes much more intense for PVP. I think the game would be so much better if there were many more officer skills and unique technology per race and abilities. Part of the reason star trek was such a good show was because of the diverse species all with unique tech. However in Star Trek Online as good as the game is the mistake I feel is in the fact that Klingon's and Federation can use the same SKILLS ? Now of course some skills should be the same but where is the unique tech and abilities each race always has? Example: Perhaps there could be a mission where you can acquire a Ferengi ship this ship should not be better or worse than any other ship in game it should just be UNIQUE. Imagine how great the game could develop if 100's of ships were added like this. Lastly there should be bridge officer skills that only certain races can use now this is being implemented on ground such as the lethean psychic attack, however the game would be much better if this applied to space as well. For example: Maybe the telepathic races have a skill in space that helps find cloaked ships and other races could get timers back faster on their skills etc..


Star bases / Terra-forming

Please implement fleet base construction and Terra-forming on planets where players can develop and construct building for commerce and other things. These planets should be attack-able and loot-able as well you should have to go to opposing faction territories to take dilythium and other resources to bring back to your own planet to keep building and maintaining. Or make resource rich places in space that you have to fight over to get essential resources to keep defending with orbital defenses and building etc. This would make the game self sufficient for fun at all times never relying on cryptic to keep adding new content for people to be happy make the game fun IN IT"S SELF as other successful MMOs have done. If people are worried about loosing things while they are offline the server should send a warning to all KDF that a planet / star base is under attack and all online can respond and defend for people who are not online. Ships should also be able to enter a planets orbit and fight in the planets skies not just space. As well every time you kill someone you should be able to beam some type of resource from off their ship. For example say a Federation ship stole some resources I we chase the guy and disable / destroy his ship before he blows up you should be able to take the resource back so if his fleet cant defend him and protect him then it can be taken back.

Cryptic has done a great Job with STO! Lets make it better!

First thanks for the klingon PVE that is in right now.
Good story lines for all missions.
Just a pitty that i am not able to repeat them untill more PVE gets releast for the klingons.


Short term:
-More PVE klingon.
More PVE content opens up other sectors blocks for the klingons ( serius sector and all the other ones )
-fix the Problems when teaming up in exploration klusters: missions get bugt / players don't get in the same map when teaming up )
And people showing in same system but are not even in the same sector.
-Cooldown of all trancewarps lower it or set them so thy don't reset all at ones you use 1 so that you can trance warp to k7 and help a friend out there and then quickly go to starbase 39 and help a other without waiting 30 min or the need to fly there manualy.
Note on trancewarps: use the earth spacedock and you can use K7 SB39 or DS9 right afther it, use one of the others first and thy all get the 30min cooldown.
-Reduse the cooldown of sliptream to 1 min so it can be used 2x in a sector before getting at the end.


Mid Term
-A way to get higher defend the sector missions like in the serius sectior or a way to get in whitout flying for 30/60 min to find one thats active to get the accolades ( the play 15x defend the serius sector for axemple )
Maybe have a VA version flying around that only attaks VA "or around that level RA"
- More PVE Kling and Feds.
- Bank tabs buyeble with latinum or upgrades so more can be stored in fleetbank tabs!

Long term.
-Adding cosmatic:
I know people want more interiors. but bug fixes and new missions so people stay interested schould always be first and second before loking in to cosmatic to mutch, game play comes first in my eyes.
- Red data samples again only in the lower level of space its redicules how many you find in B'Tran.
- new content that comes out like diplomatic missions being updated in the manual so every ones knows what to do.---> http://startrekonline.com/manual bit out of date.
And at the sicky's in the Support and help and make one that refers to the site manual.( cleans up support and help ingame )
-Ofcorse new faction But afther alot more PVE Klingons and fed's like i have stated before.


Side note.
-I read somewhere that the level cap goes up whit the ranks and names for the ranks ( but didn't see when that would be )
Please don't ad 5 level ranks in there leave them to 10 this way there can be a higher level cap and posseble new skill later on.
Because there is no need for RA:lower and RA:upper ( just RA 1-10 )
And 5 levels wel keeps people loking forwordt for the other 5.
I also am happy that finaly somthings being don about the demo.
Hopefully it gives new people that tray it a better feeling what STO is.

Keep up the good work its getting better and better with every new update, it has inproved alot sinds the beta.
And i have seen alot of people giving some good idees in here to all of them keep thinking and posting.

I completely second that. I always loved to play O-Game and I am constantly coming back to this game because of this principle. Please enable us to scan for a planets class (habitable M, etc) and let us settle on the planet's surface and create cities.

this could also unfold storylines like in ST:INSURRECTION when one party wants to exploit the planet for mining purposes but another party runs a settlement at that location. (now that I think about it, this pretty much reminds me about AVATAR as well, but ST:INSURRECTION was first ^^)

Most (if not all) of these have already been requested, but.....

* Allow us to upgrade our previous tier ships, even if this can only be done at RA level or higher. It could even be done as a part of crafting ( upgrading a tier at a time with a certain cost, increasing the hull points via reinforcing the hull and increasing the base shields/damage/energy output via upgrading the warpcore). You could even then make it a part of crafting to add/upgrade BO ship assignments to the new tier and add weapons slots to the new tier. Just do not make it TOO costly.

* Allow us to create a standard uniform for our bridge crews ( not BO) that wander the ship...maybe one for each type of NPC ( engineering...science....and tactical npcs).

* Allow us to promote one of our BO to first officer, and perhaps allow him/her a special assignment slot that allows him to use all of his space abilities, limited only by ship tier ( ensign abilities for Lt cruiser, Lt and ensign for next tier, etc). It would, of course , have to play tested.

Short term:

Gear!

RPGs are about improving your char as they level. When you max level the only way to improve is gear. The end game gear kinda got messed up with the recent level increase. Some MK X gear (RA gear) is better than some new MKXI gear (VA gear). The emblem system is a good start but there needs to be better rewards for STFs and maybe Fleet actions. We need stuff to want to run those missions repeatedly for, not that they aren't fun to do but an awesome reward for your effort is needed IMO. I like the idea of random loot from a list rather than completely random gear where 90% of it no one will use.

Mid Term:

Ground Combat tweaks and fixes.

Customizable kits would go a long way toward being able to create your OWN character. I space you pig most of your abilities from you BOs and based on ship slots can have any powers you want. Kit's should offer the same flexibility. Also add some skills available to all class for ground that boost or augment generic things about ground, like resistances, damage, accuracy, etc. Much like the space skills that were added to the game after launch. More misses and more Damage. Having attacks miss allot more but do allot more damage would make it feel more like trek. Nothing worse than having to hit an average enemy 20 times to kill it. Even if the AI isn't any better, random misses would seem more realistic and have a good place once the AI is improved down the road.

Long Term:

More STFs

STFs are my favorite part of endgame. Grouping with friends to beat a challenging mission is the reason to be a VA. We need more of them with progression as they get harder. Also Larger ones would be nice, say for 10 people. And these offer new ways to continue the story of the game.

1) Please fix/restore the victory loot/prizes/rewards…I can’t take another small hypo!!!
2) Please fix the Aid the Planet missions, 80% of them fail to happen or fail to give an award!!!
3) Please allow “bound” objects to become unbound after sitting in your inventory or bank for a few days!!!
4) Please fix Memory Alpha to allow you to upgrade whatever you have…it’s a worthless waste of time the way it is now!!!
5) And what of them rare trace particles, I got dozens of them including all 10 different ones, what do I do with them?
…I expand on each of these items below:
1)…this is one of the majors joys I get out of playing StarTrekOnline, is getting the surprises…it’s like opening Christmas presents!!!
I enjoyed it so much, I’d go find other enemies to fight on a planet even after my mission was over…just for the surprises!!!
Whether it was something I needed, my fleet needed or something I could sell on the exchange I was happy with it!!!
Now I avoid battles completely (leave) or run past them to the next room (to access the console and beam out)!!!
If anything, a Vice-Admiral should me MORE adept at recovering items from battle.
2)…Three out of 4 of my Aid the Planet missions have no BO pop up and do not work, and of the ¼ that do work, ½ either don’t award a prize?!? Last night out of about 8 tries, I had 5 failures (or more), 1 XI Ship’s Shield award (not in a box), and 2 others with no awards at all. And considering how Aid the Planet missions come up only about 1 out of 10, that means I have to do about 50 missions to maybe get 1 AtP award?!? Please fix this (and give me some makeup reward boxes). After your season 2 upgrade my 1st successful AtP mission rewarded me with a very rare XI console (which I couldn’t use), which really got me excited/thinking that all rewards would be something REAL special, unfortunately it apparently was a fluke…too bad, it would be nice, though.
3)…I HATE throwing away (selling) good, hard to find/earn items that I’ve either used just to try them out or decided not to use anymore. It’s a real tragedy that I can’t share them with my fleet, or give others a chance to have/try them through the exchange. It also makes NO sense that just because you equip it once makes it any different than NOT. Perhaps we can pretend that if you equip it, that it takes a few days to FULLY de-install it?!?
4)…What good is Memory Alpha if you can simply “buy” much better stuff with much less hassle?!? On the other hand, MEMORY ALPHA WOULD BE AWESOME if you could make upgrades to the equipment that YOU have. For instance: you could upgrade your Phaser turret with better accuracy OR add or increase Critical Severity OR add or increase Chance OR add Damage OR add a(nother) side-effect (plasma damage, antiproton resistance, etc…) with each upgrade. Then collecting particles would be vital to the game as would be mastering upgrades at Memory Alpha (you’d still need to “train”, before you can modify YOUR own stuff).
5)…Maybe a set of 10 rare trace particles could provide an unusual (normally unavailable) upgrade to your stuff (e.g.: make your weapon Overcharged).
