I don't know if anyone else finds this annoying or not, but its a real pain in hectic pvp or fleet actions where I'm working a target ( enemy) and need a quick heal, EPS transfer, etc... and cast it and it goes to the target of whom I'm SHOOTING instead of me and not only do I not get my needed buff/heal but I also stop dealing damage in a most critical situation.

If I want to heal/buff an ally, let me choose...do not force it upon me. I do not see an option for this in controls either unless I am misreading something.

Yes! Very annoying, infact I created a bug report about it, about an hour ago. I feel your pain, its really infuriating. Cryptic, FIX IT.

Tap escape, tap power, retarget, done in 1 second.

Personally I love being able to hit target of target. It means that, if me and my friend are both hitting a single target and it's locked onto him I can buff him, then when it locks onto me I get buffed.

Making it an option would be nice ("Abilities assist"?) but don't take it away entirely.

You can change assist behavior in options.

BAM!

In other words. There is an options you can change on if assisting your target is enabled or not.

i have assist turned OFF and it still does it.

As for de-target, power, re-target...VERY hard in a crowded pvp battle or huge fleet action.
