I just sell everything I don't need to vendors, and I sold one unwanted bridge officer on the exchange for 10k.

I just hit Lt. Commander and have about 65k.

It's well worth going back to Earth Spacedock with a full inventory instead, replicator gives you much less money.

Just do the missions, i have never really had any issues with being able to buy what I need. After about rank 5 or so it should really start rolling in. As long as you don't attempt to by any of the grossly over priced items on the exchange you should be golden.

if your planning on using the exchange for purchase, keep an eye out.

make sure you check all the pages, because i've noticed Mk II stuff going up for like 50k for "white" drops, and thats honestly rediculous.

i sell ALL my Mk I stuff for 250 credits, Mk II for 500 and Mk III for 1,000 and it sells VERY quickly

as long as people try and keep the prices somewhat sensible the exchange could be a very nice way to earn cash

arent you doing yourself out of credits like that? The star base 1 vendors seem to sell mark 1 stuff for about 400, mark 2 for 1000+ and mark III (well I havent got that far yet)

Ill bet the stuff you are selling is being bought by people 'playing the market' who are just sticking it back on at a higher price while laughing at you.

In the middle of LC ranking you start getting the big cash flow from drops and mission reward loot.

I gots 250k at LC9 at the moment.

Don't be afraid to use the auction area to sell your stuff. You can sometimes sell stuff for WELL worth it being listed. Just be sure to check prices there currently so you don't under/over price it..

Age old technique: Buy low sell high.

You have 20 slots on the Auction House. Learn item values and demands and speculate. It takes time but can yield good results.

Other than that just play and sell drops and you'll have credits falling out of your pockets.
