I have social set for reject all team invites.
I have group set for closed group

and now...it automatically sticks me into pick up groups
so that I can spend 4 times as long on a mission and get less loot.

IF I WANT TO BE IN A GROUP I WILL INVITE A FRIEND

FIX IT NOW

I have the exact opposite problem. I've set it to open team and open grouping, yet I've never been autogrouped with anyone.

If all you're interested in is zipping through the content and getting a lot of loot for it, there's a certain 800 lb gorilla standing in the corner that would love to have a word with you. You know, the one with the "Blizzard" sign around it's neck? Yeah that game is more suited to the "gimme my stuff and be quick about it" playstyle.

I could be wrong here but dosent teaming up with people make the enemies harder? And dont harder enemies drop better items?

Well thats not the problem. Sometimes I'd like to slow down and do those missions myself, not auto join a team that completes the missions for me without me lifting a finger.

I am sort of having the same problem as the OP, I have the same settings as him but still autojoining groups on missions sometimes.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the stated issue of settings not performing as they are supposed to. Irrelevant commentary is pointless.

They definitely changed something today.

I went on a Patrol mission, was autogrouped then moved on to the next system.

I quitted the autogroup I left behind before entering the next system.

About a minute after I entered the system I got a message saying that I either join the group in the system or I was going to be kicked out in 60 seconds.

A group had came in behind me and basically the game stole my instance and gave it too them.

You can turn off auto group. So what is the big deal?
