# 1 Vesta Pack worth it?
02-21-2014, 05:34 PM
Is it worth getting the Vesta pack or just one of them?

This would be PVE mostly , I barely ever mess with PVP.

Yes - the 3-pack is worth it.

The Vesta is one of the few sets where the consoles are actually fun to play with. The real benefit is getting 3 AUX cannons at the same time, allowing you to have a fairly decent combat oriented science cruiser/destroyer.

I Used a tac version for my first NWS win. Great all round ship.

It's definitely a fun ship to fly. Been working with the 3-pack Vesta to take full advantage of its abilities. It's definitely a competent ship, though the auxiliary cannons and the deflector array phaser need high auxiliary power. Also, the deflector's phaser seems to work best against bare hull (it's a bit of a waste against shields). You can either use the auxiliary cannons as your primary weapon (meaning flying it like an escort) or by playing with the power levels yourself and flipping between weapon-heavy and aux-heavy power settings to use beams effectively between science-based attacks.

The Vesta, Aventine, and Rademaker are probably my some of my Favorite ships in the game, they are incredibly fun to fly, and their console abilities allow you to survive A LOT of punishment.

I would just get 1 vesta variant unless you are switching builds a lot and need the other console layouts from time to time.

I have the 3 pack also, but wouldn't it also be possible to get 3 aux DHC just by owning 1 ship then discharging and reclaiming it?

Never got much use out of the consoles myself though, I use the 3 pack just for different console layouts but never found a way to fit the Vesta consoles in as sci ships generally need sci stat boosting consoles.

I don't regret buying the threepack, but I very seldom use the consoles, generally I find them too gimicky.

I like having all the hull choices so I don't regret it like the Scimtar pack.

I'll be continuing to use the Vesta instead of the dyson ships, and she will just get better once she has a second deflector.

She looks very good with the Borg Set. Personally I recomnend ditching the aux cannons, getting Anti Proton DHC, turrets, and the Omni beam for sub system targeting. Throw in the FE warp core for more Anti-Proton damage and get youself some Yellowstones,

It's basically a Federation Flightdeck Battle Science Ship. It's an excellent vessel in all of its forms with an absolutely ludicrous amount of flexibility. The low hull and low shield mod, compared to the to the Wells and Dyson ships, belie it's actual durability.
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.

If you enjoy customizing the starship, Vesta 3 pack offers lots of room for customization, as all 3 variants look considerably different. As compared to the recent Science ship bundles, Vesta is definitely worth the money for 3 packs

Due to the "reclaim function" you don't need the 3 pack to get lots-o-aux-cannons. Therefore, the only reasons to go 3 pack over a single ship:

1. Console set. Do keep in mind that, especially with the new loadout feature, this is definitely an option to explore - slot in the Vesta consoles for vector space and get the advanced chroniton slipstream, double duration and 1/2 cooldown (memory's saying 1 min up 30 seconds down) makes tour the galaxy runs, etc. highly possible.

2. Parts for customization - though the lines on all three versions are pretty darn good even without all the options, she's so far the only non-TV ship that I flew for more than a few hours without begging to mix-match parts (though after a few months I did decide that I like the forward sweep of the Aventine's pylons over the Vesta's rearward sweep. Sure wish that the Vesta Pylons were more TMP-straight than the funky curve of the TNG era - personal opinion, not a knock on the ship...
Well, with the upgrade announcement leaving NX and Connie fans in the dust again, can we restart / revisit the T5 Connie and NX threads - since they will no longer be "truly" endgame ships... (after we get the T5 versions, it'll be time to see them added to the T5U upgrade charts too...

My main Fed Joined Trill engineer commands the tac Vesta Class... it's epic. I did get the sci version also just for the looks.

It's set up with AP beam weapons, the 3 pcs Obelisk space set, 2 pcs Omega space set, 3 pcs Adapated MACO space set, & other fun items. It's tanky... esp on an engineer.

I can't wait for the secondary deflector set to go live!
