During beta and head start servers where quite bad as soon as the US woke up and started logging on.

I could paly all day here in the UK up until about 7pm then thigns would get bad not lnog after pop server down.

But since launch I have not had any issues

While the head start was a complete disaster for players from Europe due to server downtime STO's official launch has been very smooth imho. Saying that tho the daily downtime should be moved around some so no one time zone is always getting shafted.

There has been quite a few issues with latency since open beta and during the head start. The servers during headstart fell over quite often so to say there has not been any problems, or even significant problems is untrue.

Saying that, the capacity upgrade will help enormously and considering we are connecting to the states, latency has been less of an issue than I thought it would be.

Server downtime, as it is now, doesn't affect Europe much though. At this time most of us are at work/school anyhow. Except the weekend of course, but then again eat lunch, go shopping or take a shower or something and it'll be back up again

Thats virtually impossible to achieve. When the yanks are sleeping, euros are awake and aussies are enjoying the evening. A part of the globe will suffer regardless thanks to time zones.

Maybe they could set a different downtime each day so they can set it to be annoying to people in every timezone at least once a week?
