The Exchange is lacking in several ways. The largest issue that I see is the lack of any way to sort the result list.
What we really need is an ability to sort the result list by:
Name
Quantity
Total Price
Price per Item
I don't want to search for weapons, and have to look through Mk II weapons priced at 100,000 EC. Let me sort those to the bottom of the list. It will make using the Exchange much easier, and also cause people to be much more realistic in their pricing. Why flood the market with 1000% marked up prices, if nobody ever sees your items because they get sorted to the last page? If you want your items on the first page of results, then they should be competitively priced.
Same goes for stacks of items. Let me sort the result list by both Total Price, or by Price per Item if I want.
