Hey folks.

Got a problem here. Just got my first new ship, an escort.

My layout is:

Dual Disruptor Cannon - Torpedo - Dual Phaser Cannon

Turret

So my issue is that I can only right click/green out one front cannon, not both. So once I hit space bar I can auto fire my disruptor (for example if it is green) but my phaser cannon just sits there, I have to hit space bar again ever 2 seconds. This has to be a bug right? I find it annoying to spam space bar while trying to maintain my 45 deg arc and use hot keys for other abilities. Anyone else having this issue?

Only one foreward and one aft weapon can be set on autofire.

At this point, you can only set one forward facing weapon and one rear facing weapon to autofire. There have been calls across the board to allow weapons on the same facing to be grouped so the group can be set to auto, but as of now, it is only 1 and 1

I can set two weapons on each side to autofire. <.=.< Just gotta set them next to each other and rightclick them both fairly quickly. I have both torpedoes and both aft turrets on auto on my T4 Galiant.

I hope this gets changed soon. It's ridiculous that I have to micro manage my base weapons. I have no problem hotkeying my special abilities and having different buttons for beam weapons vs torpedos.. but honestly, having to hit the space bar every 2 seconds to fire my OTHER cannon? That is just stupid design, it's busy work for no reason. Plus this is while I'm trying to maintain a 45 degree cone on my target?

Hope that gets fixed, I'll try to bug it out like the other poster said. This is simply bad design.

I just managed this. Damn shame I have to glitch out the game for it to work in a reasonable way.

No, you're missing the point. I have no problem hotkeying my special abilities, I have no issue having separate keys for torpedos vs beam weapons. But having to mash my keyboard every 2 seconds is busy work, it's not strategy. It makes my hand cramp and is a bad design choice. There is no gameplay reason why I can't have my front weapons auto firing when they are in range and in view.

I have no issue if they stop if I swing wide and get out of my field of view, the arc of the weapon. Fine, I'll hit space bar when they come back in. But on a straffing run, having to spam the space bar is annoying nothing else.

This should be addressed soon.
