"Klingons have to deal with the fedball"

And feds have to deal with klingon stealthball

Tell me what Boff powers you're using.

There are abilities/ships/weapons that are more effective at certain things then others. This is called diversification. If you want every single ship to be exactly the same with the same skills and the same weapons, you are playing the wrong game, the one you're looking for is Asteroids.

Really? You can look at these forums and think that there is no problem? You're one of two people then:

A fed who plays exclusively in capture and hold matches.

A kling who plays exclusively in deathmatches.

Because those are the two groups that are content with PvP right now.

Whether or not you think there is a "problem" has no bearing at all on what the rest of the playerbase considers to be a problem, you are merely the minority.

I agree with you that the person you quoted shouldn't say it's "not a problem at all" as all classes should feel they have a place in PvP, but I don't think just fixing escorts is all that is need for PvP either. I think this idea has merit and once they do find a way to make escorts viable, I imagine the will fit well into this model as well.

This sounds fun to me on both sides and wouldn't mind seeing this in game.

Bigest issue that I see is unbalanced teams

Everytime I have tried PvP it has been 2 feds against 5 Klingons.

Matches shouldn't start until 5 on either side and if someone leaves they should be replaced by another player.

Sounds simple but it doesn't seem to be working if they have that setup already.

A great idea!

It also has the advantage of being foolproof which is very important for pugs.

Having fights only start when there are full players on both sides would also be a good idea.

The Escort problem is separate and should be solved difrently. I still think they should make the classes more distinct with their own distinct tactics.

However since that isnt very likely to happen, I'm instead suggesting that they should make:
a) MES (or whatever the "fed stealth" powers name is) should stealth non-firing things around the ship using the power so that cruisers can stealth escorts, but they cant stealth themselves
b) Make new defensive powers intended for use on cruisers and sci ships intended to make visible escorts survive a bit longer. Such as making extend shields actually link the users shields to the targets shields.

Alot more people playing than complaining though. No point removing them just because a dozen folk dont like them.

Easier solution. Make a premade group and play without cloaking.

When you win, they can find another reason to complain.

Ya, you're probably right, it would be a bit hasty to remove the maps just because people are complaining about them. After all, if people don't like playing in them then they'll just migrate to the new maps anyway.
