# 1 torpedo problem please help

ok im a t2 cruiser pilot, i have one tactical officer 2 engineers and 1 science on my ship.

my problem lies with my tactical officer or it could be the ship.

ok so then to the point, i use qauntom torps front and rear, i set them to auto fire so i dont have to think about them, now some times they will fire like anything from 3-9 torps off in a spread useing torp spread skill, how does that happen is their a way to influence how many torps are fired at once when useing torp spread.

it just randomly decides to go OTT and spam loads out at once and some times it will only do the standard 3 at a time.

i would like a bit of help with this so that i may understand how it works. because i have no clue as to why it will one minute spam out upto 9 torps at a target and then only do 3.

please explain

i want to be able to fire 9 all the time

i would post my ship set up but im currently reinstalling the client as i was watching some porn and pick ed up a small malware virus that decided my cpu should run at 100% permanently. coulddnt remove so i formatted machine and done a whole fresh new install of everything.

so ill prolly have to download all the net framworks again and service pack 2 and all that crap. (running and old machine )


also while we are on the subject can some one give me a tip on how to speed up a cruisers turn rate that doesnt envolve auxilary cause i know about auxilary. i have turning consoles and a turn based impulse engine with turn +8 speed +9 yet it still turns like a burger in a grill trying to turn its self. its simply is not working too well.

Really.

The game client registered your key press and fired off the three torpedoes, but the server missed it. If you look carefully, you'll notice that all of those multi-volley shots do no more damage than a single spread. You only get one actual spread, no matter what graphical glitches might appear on your client. I manually fire my torpedoes, and I have this happen quite a bit. I can track it by watching my torpedo cooldown- if it goes into cooldown, it was a real volley, but if it doesn't, then the client glitched and I never really fired a shot even though the sounds and graphics are there.

That malware that makes your CPU cores all go to 100% is called Star Trek Online.
It also does the same with your graphics card, which actually may die from it due to overheating.
Was also bugged in beta but never fixed.

Yes thx I know, however I'd rather have it so that people dont have to read the forums to not destroy their computer playing STO.
