Why do you defend micro-transactions? Why do you defend constant server crashes?

The thing is, its okay to love the game, its okay to be fine with crashes, its okay to be willing to be overcharged to play a game you want to play.

What I don't get is defending these things. Even if you are willing to be charged a monthly fee, and then have micro-transactions on top of it (dont say its only for cosmetic things or stuff of that nature, you dont know what they will make you pay for next if it is successful) WHY would defend being charged money? This baffles me. I simply do not believe you are an adult that earns your own money if you defend being charged more for anything. Your willing to spend your money? Great! Defending the right of a company to charge more for things after already paying a ridiculous amount of $15 a month (doesnt matter if all MMO's do this- $50 + $15 a month for 1 game is too much)? Absurd!
And the crashes... okay you willing to accept this as part of launch (I dont know why, but it's fine that you are)... but to defend that they happen? Does that mean you dont like the game and enjoy not being able to play it when you want to?

Im not attacking this game, Im saying anyhting about the game- just that people who defend this company for charging more while they are already charging you, and even though you keep getting charged the server crashes.... It's just silly.

money isnt everyting...
it really does not bother me at all, if i did not spend my money on these items then i would waste it on sometjhing equally useless but still fun

fun is more important than money, life is to short to be worried about money.

and more importantly, it means that i can get that extra item that you will never buy thus makng me cooler!

This is probably as near to the truth as you're ever going to get.

People either troll or try to make you look stoopid, there is the
occasional rational poster. Look out for them, they're a rarity.

OP - you value things differently. Should we broach the subject of what else you might have spent your entertainment dollars on besides some video game? Did you really have to have that window-shattering multi-thousand dollar sound system just to listen to music that could be heard just as loudly by you using earphones? Do you really have to have all of those cable-channels that you'll never watch but at least you get some sports and movie channels? Huge TV when a small one works just as well? Fancy expensive crotch-rocket race bike that belongs on a track and not the streets?

People spend their money the way they wish to, even as you do.

Because I don't think 15$ is much for a months entertainment, I spend a great deal more than that in an hour down the pub. 15$ for a months entertainment is tremendous value for money, and a tiny monetary amount to pay out.

The microtransactions are a personal choice, if you want it pay for it. If you don't then don't. They are never required, they are always cosmetic. IF that changes in the future, then again, I vote with my wallet and stop playing and paying. Simples.

Crashes happen to every PC on the planet and that includes my PC and every MMO. They are part of life. They do not need to be defended, and I am fine with them. What needs to happen is less nerd rage from geeks who cannot go without a game for a couple of hours when these things do happen, and the same applies to downtime to maintain servers (to help stop them crashing) or to implement patches (to improve the game).

In short, if you don't like it don't pay for it, and if you can't put up with the occasional server crash or downtime stop playing online games and throw your PC out. because that is the only way you will ever be free of them.

We just realize life isn't perfect, we move on. There are bigger things in life to get upset over. It's part of growing up.
