To find out if this program will run on your computer before commiting to buying, there is a nice little website that I use a lot:

It installs a small harmless plugin that you can uninstall normally. The site is good for checking if your PC/laptop will work on most current games and some older ones. Bare in mind this website is a tool and is not associated with Cryptic or STO, or any other game.

IMHO

There should be no buddy keys or trial accounts on the live server. Setup a trial server and trial client. It's a copy of production limited to a few systems and a few missions. Lets you get to levl 5 and or play for 4-5 hours on the free account. Gives potential customers a free taste of the game, makes sure it runs on their PC and helps keeps the spammers out of the live game.

But hey.. thats just me.

See If I go and buy the game then i spend £35, I cannot take it back and say its not very much fun.

Most other games give a demo, I appreciate that It will lag the game out a little bit and im sure you wont like that, but at the same time it does increase the number of players who are more likely to play it.

If anyone does have a trial key code i would love it

On top of that I would rather test how playable the game really is on my poor old computer...

I'm also looking for a trial code for my brother. He's a trekkie but doesn't want to pay for the game until he tries it out first. I would greatly appreciate it if anybody has extras sitting around!
