We all know ramming speed is ...rediculous.
If you can 1 hit kill anything, its broken, if you can do so with no real penalty its really broke.

I propose a simple change.

- Skill can only activate when player is at %5 hull.
- Skill temporarily grants user high resists or lower chance to hit etc ( need to be able to get to target)
- Skill does damage equivelant to a high yield torpedo.
- Ship explodes doing its normal ship explosion damage.

so basically if your about to DIE its a way to do a reasonable amount of damage on the way out,
but is not a insta kill weapon with no penalty.

A whine about something that is just fine. Did you get rammed by the big bad Klingon ? awwww


It's on a 4 min cd , it takes you out too in most cases. Its not easy to aim at high speeds to make it extremely effective. The list goes on.

This is one of those "fun" things that most everyone enjoys.

It's definitely frustrating to get killed by it in 1 shot when I have full health and shields like some Galaxy class ship did to my BoP in a PvP game the other day but overall its not a big deal.

You do say you can avoid it, but even with my 50 aux I couldn't turn away in time as he full impulsed in and hit ram. Saw it coming all the way, but I can't speed up quickly enough to avoid it when I'm already in combat. As long as he got his line right there was nothing I could do, killing me in a single hit. It probably did 10k hull damage or about half his life, but his shields were, of course, unaffected, so that helped them a lot in the fight.

Ironically he was not even aiming for me and he said "LoL Ramming Speed does nothing its so worthless" in zone chat after one-shotting me with a 25k damage ram, but I guess not all players are paying much attention to what's going on...

Right now I'm not sure about it but it could become an issue considering how deadly it can be at the start of a fight. The other team is all balling up? Just send your Cruisers crashing into their escorts and you'll probably have a lead in a few seconds. Then its smooth sailing.

It's not that it's OP, but in combination with some broken abilities it is.

Evasive maneuvers is not suppose to affect full impulse at all, but if you time it right, it does. That's how people are gettin huge hits (+500k) with the evasive/full impulse/ramming speed combo.

Ramming speed should probably not work with evasive too. It's the easier way of hitting a target, and still does massive damage, but no where near the full impulse combo.

Really? There is a thread about this too now?

If someone is glowing purple and coming at you then hit evasive maneuvers and move. Or better yet hit Brace for Impact.

Your Ramming Speed Passive deals 2470298 (2501648) Kinetic Damage to you.

The hit on the target was about 400k less, but the target was overpowered anyways. I somehow doubt brace for impact's going to save you here.

On a side note, this is just about the only way to kill the Crystal Entity after the patch.

it posesses the ability to oneshot people, it is abused, it qualifies for needing fixing
