# 1 Energy credit spammers

Can Cryptic please do something about the energy credit sellers. Im being spammed both in private messages and at starbases for the same thing.. At least ingame theres the option to mark poster as spammer, but in the private messages theres no chance. Sometimes the mark as spammer option doesn't work however.

Just tell them to f*ck off then report them.

It's a shame that we must do this but...
/hide
it'll stop the 'tells' but there is no fix for the mails. We were getting both during the head start...

If you've got the time, ask them where you go to buy energy credits.

If they respond and are real, ask the same question again. Keep doing that

I've been lucky enough to have no spammers, though

Maybe setting up some sort of word filter in game to combat this would be an idea like dont allow the words buy and energy credits in the same sentence.

Cryptic mentioned that there numbers will drop hugely after the grace period ends for all countries, so by the end of this month. They said because you can report accounts rather than players, and they can't change their account names unlike them just making a new character to spam with, they can easily ban them and since it's 25 / $50 to keep buying games they'll dwindle away eventually.

Whether this is true or not remains to be seen.
